After two pregnancies lost and finding out we’re genetic carriers for a fatal disorder, I think this is my moment

I only had two embryos and this is my first transfer, the line is already looking good 5dp6dt!!

We have had a two-year journey to get here, one missed miscarriage and a tfmr at 16 weeks of a baby girl with a fatal disorder.

After pgt-m and pgt-a we only had two embryos and decided to take the plunge.

Please let this be our time!!

Progesterone needle wrong size

Two different cvs pharmacies did not have 22G x 1.5” syringes, but they were able to give me 23G x 1.5. Anyone know if this is okay? I’m trying to get them to order the correct size but will have to use these syringes for now.

The amount of patience needed for IVF is the hardest part

Patience was already not one of my virtues.

Waiting to get my period post D&C to start ivf (8 weeks), only to get it during vacation abroad and have to then wait another cycle to actually start stims.

waiting for phone calls about your embryos.

waiting for pgt a and pgt m results. (5.5 weeks)

now, waiting to get my second period post egg retrieval and it will not freaking come! Cycle day 41 and no sign of it! Need it to come so I can do the saline sonogram, then will have to wait another cycle for transfer.

I hate the feeling of being stuck, stagnant as time relentlessly passes me by. Meanwhile, every day I see a new pregnancy announcement from my friends.

How the hell do you incredible women do this??

IVF with PGT-M: there is hope

I am doing IVF for genetic reasons at 30 years old after discovering my husband and I are carriers of a rare disorder called PMM2-CDG. we have lost two pregnancies, including a second trimester tfmr which led us to IVF.

Making this post to share that after 1 egg retrieval we got these results:

13 retrieved

9 mature

9 fertilized

4 blastocysts

2 pgta and pgtm normal! Both are not even carriers of our disorder.

There is hope for us pgtm couples out there. I know it’s not a guarantee for a baby but two chances for a healthy baby are better than zero!
