Hello, I currently have an usb soldering iron that i bought for really cheap and it's really bad. I have a budget of £100 and i'd like to get both a soldering iron and an hot air station because i plan on doing hdmi ports replacement and everyone i know seems to be doing the drop and forget method which would require a hot air station

I have seen a bunch of cheap 2 in 1 station (£50) it looks like a decent deal to me but i don't know if they're any good,

Another thing I've seen is cheap hot air station £30, I've seen videos where people tested them and it seemed to be decent but i can't find any cheap soldering iron that is as good as a cheap hot air station.

Many people would probably suggest to spend the £100 on a good soldering station but again I need the other station.

So yeah if you can share your experience or help me find smth good, it'd be much appreciated.

I have both an og 3ds and a 3ds xl and as much as would like to keep both, I need money to finance a personal project and i'm having a hard time deciding which one I should let go of.

I like the color on the og 3ds and the fact that it opens and closes itself smoothly, my concerns about it are the screens since they are quite small and not really bright outside; however it's really portable due to it's size. I also like trying out 3ds ports and some of them aren't supported on the og 3ds/supported with poor performance.

The og 3ds XL battery doesn't really last long so if I keep that one, i would need to get a new battery, I don't like the noise that it makes when you open and close it, the screens and controls are bigger which is good since I have pretty big hands (yet holding the og 3ds isn't really a pain), but it makes it less portable (ofc it's portable but when I have it in my pocket, it's not as comfortable as a og 3ds). I assume it's also more powerful when it comes to ports although I know it's still less powerful than the new 3ds series.

So if you were me, which one would you let go of ?
