On iOS (mainly) is there a more "insistant" tool than notifications / alerts

Hello there, I've already developed some mobile apps with React Native (professionnaly), but my main job is in web.

As a side project I would like to code my own app to help me taking my meds. I know plenty exists but I want to code my own, I don't plan on making money with this. Currently I handle my meds with my iPhone alarms, I set four during the day but sometime I'm not home when it ring, I snooze it and ultimately skip it, which can be bad if it's too late to take it when I finally notice. This demand to be especially rigorous but turns out I also have ADHD so it's against my nature sadly. 🥲

So, what I imagine is a simple app where I can set every meds I need to take and at what time I need to take wich one, with the correct dose. This is fairly trivial.

Now I see several solutions to replace an alarm :

* A discrete "beep" at the time when I need to take it. It keeps beeping every 5 minutes until I mark in the app that I took the meds. Pros : discrete and look efficient. Cons : I don't know if iOS restrict sending too much notifications, I don't know if I can do this while the app is in background (I guess so ?) and I'm pretty sure I'm limited to sound and cannot setup a popup "Did you take your med ? Yes / No, remind me in five minutes" without forcing the user to open the app.
* A widget, visible on the home screen, writing the status of the meds "You missed you 12:00 dose of X med" with a button "I took it" or something. Pros : I watch my phone often, so it should be visible enough. Cons : there is a little chance I can miss it.
* A combination of both : widget for visibility, beeps for noticing.

So here are the questions for more experienced mobile devs : is there another tool I can use to achieve this kind of results ? Like a notification that won't leave the screen or something ?

Also about in app notifications, is there a limit ? Or will it stop working after 10 notifications in 1 hour for example ?

I'm asking for iOS mainly because I use an iPhone, but I am also interested if there is some specific solutions on android for cross platform.

I have been scammed and lost money, and I can't find any job

Venting and needed someone to make me feel less bad / guilty I guess...

Happened today, a call from "my bank" telling me there as been fraud etc, very elaborate scam and I ended up sending money to a bitcoin account. I won't describe it because it was really well done but on the other hand ultra fishy in retrospect.

I feel even more guilty because I am a developer and should be well versed in cybersecurity, but it was a moment of weakness and I don't think I have all my brain cells. Tomorrow I will go to the police station and file a complaint in the hope I can get my money back with insurance.

It hits even harder because I don't have much money to live after looking for a job in an extremely competitive market... 10 years ago I received tens of offers when i was job hunting, now I am at my 7 rejection in a row, after doing tech interviews.

The last refusal was this afternoon which added to my shitty day, in a company I already worked for but "people had mixed feelings about me" (yeah, I was depressed half of the time there).

So, feeling guilty, losing hope in finding a job, will be near when I have to leave my flat with my daughter (but where ? to my parents ?)

Kind of needing a hug I guess. (my partner is already there for me, which is great)

Lithium, climbing and shaking

Hello there ! I've started Lithium two months ago and I got mild side effects (trembling, restless legs, trouble finding my words).

Its been really acceptable but today I went climbing and noticed the shaking really made me climbing bad, like I've lost 25% of my skills, harder to target a hold, to lift myself etc.

Anyone can relate ? Is there some tips or complementary medication ?
