I just recently made a choice & got Omega for a 2nd acc in Eve. And that was a bit of a tough choice to make.

Now Im hearing Vanguard Alpha will be paid? Can I at least pay in PLEX/Isk (sonce both ingame economies are alredy connected, correct)?

To clarify why I believe both economies are already connected:

1. I farmed last Vanguard Alpha (summer/May 2026) and got rewards in Eve. Can I do the opposite?

HAW Dreads are meant to be dealing with subcapital ships, and after analyzing over a dozen of Bombeldo’s (and other HAW Dread enjoyers) videos on YT (a “drifting MWD” Dread was just posted on the official news feed a week or so ago) all I am seeing is the reload times being a huge bottle neck in dealing the DMG.

You read that right! It’s not the tracking or the application or the range/faloff. It’s the damn timer of watching the HAW weapons being reloaded over and over.

Possible solutions(?):

1. Give a role bonus to Dreads (or specific flavor of dreads, like Navy only?) for a HAW-only reload bonus. Like 50%
2. Give a skill bonus (per level of Dread skill) of like 10% (total 50% at lvl 5) to HAW weapons only.
3. Simply reduce the reload time on the module itself (i.e. set reload time on a Rapid Torpedo Launcher & other HAW weapons to 1/2 of what it currently is) 20 sec from 40 sec base, for an example.
4. Add another skillbook (FCCP would love this) that affects HAW weapons only and reduces the reload speed. 50% at lvl 5
5. Yes I know Sarathiel already gets a reload bonus, but it’s bonus still “carries weight” as it applies to non-HAW weapons & the bonus is 75% (which is huge), they could make it stack with the bonuses I am proposing with diminishing returns if so they wish. Would be a nice buff to an otherwise unutilized ship?

EDIT: I stand corrected. All HAW weapons but the Rapid Torps have a short reload timer actually. The PNI gets a skill bonus to reloads for Torps.

I should have checked the module bonuses more carefully before posting.

First of all - I just want to say thanks to them for setting up all these structures that are open to the public. Doing a huge service to smaller corps and solo pilots (and Im sure big corps enjoy it too)!

I wanted to reach out to them to ask some questions and while I understand that I could just send an evemail to the Oblivion Watch CEO (the “holding corp” that owns these structures), I also realize that since its an obvious holding corp - they will probably not be checking their evemail all that often.

So if anyone from actual Hydra Reloaded is reading this - please reach out:) I have some questions about the safety of my assets in your stations. Thank you!

PS. Wasn’t there a moon mining drill being set up someplace? Is it also by Hydra Reloaded or a different/unrelated group?

Since Muninn got reworked into a missile ship sometime ago - what is the dedicated “lock and pop” fast lock and high alpha ship? For gatecamping, but not only. Station games, undock sniping, etc…

I know a Tornado was always there (and to a degree - Gnosis), but nothing could have matched an insta-lock arty Munnin back in the day. Has there ever been found a replacement? Insta-Arty-Loki?

I still have a Munnin hull with like 80 killmarks that I’ve gotten mostly solo in Lowsec… no idea what to even do with this hull anymore…

Disclaimer: pay attention to the keywords (LoSec, Solo, implants, faction mods, etc…)

Situation: I have a player/pirate who is “terrorizing” a local LoSec system I happen to base out of. He is flying a Khizriel. I assume not full faction fit, but a few modules here & there (for sure a faction Scram/Web or point). Probably faction prop mod (because why not - you’re in low sec). Most likely hi grade implants (again - you’re in LoSec).

I’ve only single boxed Eve up to this point. But I am starting to come to a realization that a few ships they have released over the past few years just cannot be killed solo. I’ve been fiddling with Pyfa fittings for the past 2 weeks trying to figure out if I can give this guy an “honorable” 1v1, but I seem to be exhausting all my creativity & anything I come up with won’t work.

So is Khizriel is one of this ships that you “must” dual box (at the very least?) to defeat? Who came up with a design idea to give a BC almost AF/Dessy like speed, agility and BC level DPS?

Fits I’ve tried (these are generalizations, to make a point & give general idea):

- Anything small frig/dessy sized with MWD sig bloom gets locked fast and almost insta popped, except an AF or ceptor.

- AF looks good on paper, but will be dead in the water if the Khizriel has a defensive (faction+ self boosted) web/scram. And while I don’t know the pilot’s exact fit, there is a 95% chance he has one of those. Statistically most of them (most of the “meta” fits) do.

- Ceptor suffers from the same issue as the AF, (dead in the water after being hit with defensive web/scram) except it has worse DPS, won’t break the tank even if I somehow get lucky and get a scram on the Khizriel.

- Anything Dessy sized will melt, at any distance

- Anything Cruiser sized suffers from having less speed (Khizriel can go 3km/heated + boosted, Im not even counting Snakes), less tank, less DPS or all of the above.

- Notable mentions go to the Arbitrator (who even flies them these days?!?) because you’d think a TD is “a hard counter” amirite? Look the the numbers… a single bonused(!) TD won’t cut down Khizriel’s Barrage to point range (Khizriel can shoot to like 100km, so after TD, Optimal + Faloff will be at like 25km (2+23 km) after single bonused TD). So Arby will melt. 2 bonused (!) TD’s with max skills will get optimal + faloff for Barrage down to something like 1km + 12 km, so something like 6% DPS will go through at 25 km (point), but realistically I will be orbitting around 20-23 km. So more like 20% will “seep through” + 100% from drones. Now a dual TD Arby has no tank, is fit with nanos (because remember kids, Khizriel is a BC that goes faster than Cruisers) and the kicker(!) - the cap lasts only 1 m45sec with all modules on (especially MWD + tracks). Not enough to stay in the fight to break the tank (most likely).

- So the Cruisers are out of the question. Going with anything “scarier” (i.e. t2 or faction Cruiser like a Vigilant) will end up with me just being kited at like 30 km by a more agile and faster (self boosted) Khizriel.

- BCs. All are slower, and either suffer from range, agility, speed or DMG application. Notable mention goes to like Sleipneir - I heard that one can give Khizriel a run for its money… but its very obvious, the Khizriel pilot might just choose to not engage, etc… and I’d be back to square 1.

- T3Cs. Maybe, but I don’t fly those:( maybe the community can enlighten me here?

So… is there even a way to kill this thing in a “truesolo” pvp? Or I have to go dirty and dualbox dishonor? And even dualboxing this thing is no easy feat…

(I am not even considering one that is 100mn AB fit, which would come out a winner vs even a dual box).

I also checked zkill and out of like 4k Khizriel losses there is like less than 5 “solo losses”. I am discounting null sec losses, because anything can be “bubble killed”.

EDIT2: Holy shit, 34k views… and they were saying that 50% of Eve’s “25k pop” are alts…

I am primarily interested in solo PvP, but I do have a 2nd acc & the most I could care to dualbox is 2 toons.

Having said that - what would be the best set up for PvP to dualbox? Primarily thinking in LowSec. Too many people jump on you with multiple accounts when you try to solo, so what would be the most efficient dual-box counter?

Assuming maxed skills/can fly anything & reasonable ISK/fits (i.e. I’d fit some faction mods, most t2, but I wouldn’t go crazy with officer/deadspace):

- 2 HAW Dreads?
- HAW Dread & a Carrier?
- HAW Dread & a FAX?
- 2 Marauders?
- Marauder & a HAW Dread?
- Marauder & a Carrier?
- 2 Faction BS? Like 2 Rattlers?

I completely understand that I could/would get hotdropped, but I’d love to at least be able to take out 20+ ships before I go down.

I am out of ideas besides of what I have listed. Whats the most optimal combo of “DPS + survival” that a 2 man (or a dualbox) can bring on grid to fight a larger subcapital force?

EDIT: A quick clarification - I did list mostly “stationary” ship combos (siege/bastion) as to me trying to “micro” to avoid getting tackled in a 2v5 or 2v10 (any 2vX) scenario seemed impossible/very difficult. So initialy I thought about bringing as much DPS & Tank on grid as possible & letting it escalate from there.

Loki + Keres (or any T3C+Logi/EW frig sized tackle) is probably what I will try at first, even though that leans more towars ganking, i.e 2v1 and get out before help arrives, which is similar to my solo PvP playstyle anyway.

This is all I would need to play as solo vs zergs. Specifically - ability to defend my base/compound as a solo vs zergs. This would be a godsend.
