I have a 2015 cmax hybrid that came with sync 2, but no factory backup camera. I gave the external wireless backup camera a try, but just couldn’t stand having another screen that was only used for the backup camera.
I’m considering upgrading my sync 2 unit to sync 3 to get Apple CarPlay, but I’ve been reading that installing a factory backup camera to sync 3 is feasible and easier wi the sync 3 than with sync 2.
Does anyone have advice on this and can confirm if it is even feasible to install a factory backup camera once upgrading my head unit to sync 3 in a manner that looks factory as well?
