waEV-charge EV1i Recommendations

Does anyone have this charger installed and could recommend?

It looks good on paper at the moment, as I can get it for £915 fully installed. It looks like most of them, just being a rounded black box, with slightly cheaper plastics.

However it uses the \[ev.energy\](http://ev.energy) app so has a lot of smarts and integrates with all the main utility companies. So yes, overall, it seems to tick most of the boxes, I just can't find many reviews on it yet.

Any feedback anyone has would be gratefully received, thanks.

Vchrgd Seven Pro Recommendations

I need to get a home charger installed and have shortlisted a few chargers, including the Vchrgd Seven Pro tethered version.

I've seen a few recommendations for it here, but am just looking for other feedback about day to day usage really. The app looks a little basic compared to some, but from what I can gather, the car itself (Model Y) will handle most things directly anyway.

We're with Octopus right now, but their intelligent Go seems expensive for daytime rates (we work from home so most our usage is then), plus we'll only charge the car once or twice a month. I'm thinking EDF might be the way to go, or E.on/OVO, so anyone who has that combination and could let me know their experience, that would be great.

Commander Insurance UK

Hi

I'm thinking of getting the commander/knob/strip but have read in a few places that it's a modification which you need to notify your insurance about in the UK. I've heard admiral might be ok with it but very few are, due to how it connects to the OBD of the car and can change settings within.

Has anyone made their insurance company aware of the device being fitted, and if so, did it affect the premium by much? Also which companies allow it?
