Weighed down by emotions. What to do?

Hi everyone,
Does anyone else also sometimes feel extremely weighed down by their emotions? Like a sinking ship. I know us pisces moons are beautifully imaginative, artsy, empathetic. I love hanging out with fellow pisces moons. But I notice my emotions are sometimes just unbearable. Its not like anger that quickly leaves, but like sadness or love, that weighs me down like an anchor. I notice the people around me be way less impacted by emotional blows and move on quicker. Does anyone have tips how to handle this better or just feel/approach things more lightly? I often feel like I don’t even fit into today’s quickly-moving society because I am stuck on feelings from months ago… I’d love to just dilly-dally a bit more

Switching between EU job vs high finance (young professional)

Hi everyone,
I’m going to graduate soon with a relatively strong cv (extracurriculars + high grades). I would like to work at either the European Investment Bank/OECD, but I also really enjoy high finance (Investment Banking/equity research). Obviously, I can’t know for sure if I would get into such good jobs, but I was wondering what would be best for me to start with. I would like to gain relevant experience in both, but, I am scared that I will accept an offer that closes more doors than it opens. Would you say moving to EU jobs after private sector is easier, or the other way around? Especially for Investment Banking, which, just like EU jobs, is super competitive. Sorry if it’s a stupid question, I just want to make sure that I make a choice that opens as many doors as possible as my end goal is to end up in a high responsibility position. Thank you for the advice!

Mirena ruined my life

Hi everyone,
Im in my mid 20s and I have always been a very ambitious, cheerful, hardworking person with a high libido. A year ago I got into a serious relationship and I got the Mirena IUD inserted. Basically right after insertion I felt like my personality died, like I felt so empty. That feeling never went away.. It was like I was an alien living in my body, I became very disconnected from myself. I became really depressed, my personality changed, I had no drive for life, little libido, and became very pessimistic and anhedonic. I would have all these existential worries for no reason. I had way less energy. My sleep was always restless. I had less empathy and cut off some long friendships ( I used to be very loyal and patient before). My boyfriend also dumped me as I became overly emotional and lacked a drive for life. Eventually we tried to get back together but I had the temperament of a piece of furniture. I felt so sad because no matter how much I tried, I couldn’t get my drive and cheer back. After that I would also be repulsed by other men, zero attraction to them. And I had all these pessimistic thoughts and would cry for days, for no reason. Anyways, a few weeks ago I got the IUD removed and I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER! I’m feeling more like my old self, curious about the world, optimistic, making plans. I have way more energy, men interest me again, and in general I have more drive/cheer. I have read many positive stories, but I wanted to share my experience too because this IUD had such a negative effect on me and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Maybe I am just more sensitive to hormones than average, as I used to have pretty bad cramps/periods before. I hope this helps and I am looking forward to hear your stories! Edit: I would also love to hear if, people with similar experiences, found a birth control method that didn’t have such effects!

Attracted to covert narcissists…

Hi everyone,
I have disorganized attachment.
Basically, I had one of my best relationships with a covert narcissist. Getting lovebombed felt amazing, and he did not expect anything of me, so I had full freedom to travel/work etc. My previous relationships made me feel trapped.
On the other side, I do want love and closeness, but this ex was also disorganized attached so he would not handle emotional closeness well after the initial lovebombing phase.
Have any of you also had such experiences? I don’t know if I will ever find someone that can handle emotional closeness well, but not expect much of me (as in, for example, not want to dim my light and ambitions etc). I would like to eventually get married and I give a lot of emotional labour to my partner, but I don’t want to be held back in life/career. My covert narc ex was a perfect fit for this in the beginning, but unfortunately this faded with time and he became avoidant + controlling. It seems like my friends have relationships with non-narc partners that are like this, but I can’t seem to attract such types… Any advice is welcome!
