Is there something more to Uncle Jesse than what we already know?

I came across a clip of the Charles episode on Facebook and I’m reminded of how involved Uncle Jesse because whenever one of the adults get involved it’s because of some sort of connection they have on the topic. It’s like how come it was Uncle Jesse and not Danny to deal with the Charles situation? Remembering the later seasons on how he wouldn’t really discipline Nicky and Alex that much I’m wondering if it’s because of his dad Nick? There were moments in earlier seasons when Jesse would briefly mentioned how he would get in trouble and disciplined growing up (no mention of hitting or spanking of course). Also we’ve seen Nick’s behavior and anger in the episodes when they were fogged in and when Jesse decided to quit the family extermination business and disowned him on the spot. Maybe it’s not fair to assume about Nick but does anyone think Jesse experienced his own form of abuse by Nick?

What it’s like trying to work in Chicago at this point! My anxiety can’t take it no more!

The Chi just wrapped at the end of this past week and it’s now another Chicago production I never got the chance to work on despite the inquiring and persistence and thinking I have a good working relationship with my peers. Despite getting messages like “We’ll keep you in mind” or “Thanks for reaching out” or “I’ll pass along your info! Also not even getting any response at all from either Key PAs, ADs and/or PMs.

I’m a PA and have worked on the One Chicago shows (not Med however). Fire has treated me well this season for the 15 days I was booked to work. PD, I don’t know what’s going on because last season I worked 10 days in total and regressed to only 4 this season (and it’s an 8 month production schedule)! Med screwed me out of a 2 day Saturday-Sunday shoot back in Feb as their Key PA lied to me about postponements due to weather and did end up shooting one of those days and never followed up on the other. I was never formally released, he said I was still booked!

My anxiety is not just about not working but mostly from trying to network with the other PAs. I’m always told it’s about “who you know” but I feel like they don’t see me as equal to them and rather hire from within their inner circle/clique as I sometimes see the same names between each production. If it’s social media, I would try to connect either they reject me on FB or Insta. For the ones who do accept on Insta they never follow back but I see who they do follow from their inner circle. They even have some social relationships with the ADs which adds to it.

I don’t want to give up but I just don’t know what to do and can’t take it no more.
