FTC v. Grubhub - Got a check for $51.41 in the mail today

It was a nice surprise! I must've been automatically opted into the settlement fund.

That's my cue to log off for the day

Definitely not sticking around if this is propped up as a "gold" offer today. No point in losing my sanity declining garbage after garbage.

GH published my actual phone number on the restaurant app!

As I was picking up a rather large order, the restaurant owner brought his phone over and was going through a checklist of items in the bag.

I never saw GH restaurant app up close, but I was snooping on his phone screen. On top of order details, there was a pic of me, my first name & last initial. Underneath that MY ACTUAL PHONE NUMBER ON FILE WITH GH!

The restaurant owner was cool and let me look at the app again to verify what I just saw

I think this is huge invasion of privacy! I always thought our phone numbers (along with customer's) were always masked. Apparently not!
