Whoever de-flocked 79N/Cedar Street is a LEGEND
Dont out yourself by claiming the community service that you gifted us all.
But know that you are a legend. I had a big ol smile on my face all the way home after that.
Blessings on you and yours.

I am sorry if this breaks rules of the sub. I didnt see anything about animals, but I know Facebook is weird about stuff…. Mods, PLEASE just let me known and I will take it down.
Hello! I have a leopard gecko that is needing a new home. This was a pet for my son, however, as the gecko is largely nocturnal, they just never “clicked”
The gecko (Carlos) has been under my care for the better part of 4 years, and I am the first to admit that I am not super well versed on reptiles, but as far as I can tell he is healthy. His coloring is good, he sheds regularly, his tail width seems about right, his eyes are clear.
He eats crickets and occasionally mealworms as a but of a treat. The bugs need to be living, as he needs to hunt them. When it really comes down to it, the crickets are harder to keep alive than the lizard is.
I believe that he was about 3-4 years old when we git him. So my math puts him right around 8 years old, and Leopard Geckos can live in the 15-20 year range, so he is not an old guy. He doesnt really like human contact. He came to us with very little actual direct human contact (similar situation to ours, but it was the mom of the family and she did NOT like the responsibility. At this point we have gotten him to let us pet him some when he is in a good mood… but he still squirms something mighty if he is picked up.
This includes: Tank, heat lamp for on top, heat pad for underneath, reptile light, rocks, water tray, cricket holder and any crickets we have left.
There is no cost, we just want to give him a shot in a home that will take good care of him and enjoy him. He is a neat little guy, we just arent really reptile people.
Im in the Newark area, and can meet within reason.
We are going on vacation on the 7th, so ideally I would like to find him a spot before then, but I have a backup lizard-sitter if need be, so its definitely not an end all be all
Hit me up with questions and we can try and link up :)

My wife bought this little guy and loves him, but cant remember the artist she got him from for the life of her. I know artists from festivals like this are sometimes hyper local, or on the opposite side, will come from all over the region to have a booth, so this may be an easy one, it may be an impossible one….. She *thinks* it might have been from the “big local arts village” so it seems likely that they are somewhere in town.
Anybody happened to have any ideas? Thanks!!
Hey Nerk, this is a LOOOONNGGG shot, I am fairly certain it wont come to anything…. But we live over near Fallsburg Rd and we have had several barn cats stop showing up for food. 2 tabbys (one boy, one girl) and a girl grey/white. All fixed, all with the clipped ear to show it.
I figure the most likely scenario is that they have met their end, either by car or coyote/other predator…
But my wife and kids are really holding out hope that maybe one/multiple of them have been adopted into a home nearby…..
Im not necessarily asking for anyone to relinquish them if they happened to have come inside with you…. But has anybody from Swisher to Glenns Market happened to bring in a new tabby or grey/white in the last few months?
Not expecting much…. Just kinda putting it out there on a flyer of a chance.
Thanks all
