back when she was smol

My cat is currently on day 3 of antibiotics for a URI. She just had a coughing fit that started with several consecutive sneezes in a row, then moved into this kind of cough, first time I’ve seen anything like it from her.

She doesn’t sound as congested as before the antibiotics, no more snuffly/stuffy breathing like when this all started. But I honestly can’t tell if that means she’s actually getting better, or if the cough is a new/separate thing I should be worried about.

There hasn’t been too much change in nose discharge if anything it’s slightly milder.

Do I take her back to the vet?

Just got my Ragdoll girl (she’s 8 months old) and I’m starting harness training early since I’m moving out of my parents’ place in 2 months into a small apartment, want to give her more space by taking her outside with me.
She honestly didn’t put up much of a fight with the harness itself. I put it on her and she didn’t collapse or resist, just wore it around the house for 2 hours no problem.
Today I took her out to the backyard for the first time. She was curious and walked around sniffing everything, but she definitely wanted to move at her own pace, following me on the leash was harder since she just wanted to slowly explore in her own direction. After about 10 minutes she meowed at me, and I honestly have no idea what she was trying to tell me. She seemed pretty nonchalant about the whole experience overall, not confident, but just kind of wearily doing her own thing. I brought her back inside anyway to be safe.
Should I keep doing short sessions like this? Any way to tell if a meow like that means she’s uncomfortable vs just talking to me? Any tips for getting her more responsive to leash direction, or is that a “give it time” thing at this age?

Just brought my girl home a few days ago! Logging her progression so far:

Day 1: Scared, peed on the car seat on the ride home from the breeder. Tolerated pets but that's about it. Very wiggly as soon as held

Day 2: Started headbutting for pets, wanted to be near me, laid against me. Could tolerate being held but shortlived (1-2 min)

Day 3: Started tripping over her (she's underfoot now), started licking/grooming me. She napped on my lap and stayed there napping for over half an hour, admittedly food motivated at first (churu), but she stayed curled up for another 20 minutes after she finished eating. Few hours later she leaned against me again, I put her between my legs, and she took a full hour nap there.

Before I brought her home, the breeder told me she was very sweet, liked to be held, and that any resistance at first would just be her adjusting to someone new and that she'd become a Velcro kitty within a few days once she bonded. She also said she'd be cuddly and would seek out attention on her own once settled in.

Everything the breeder said was phrased in the future tense, so I honestly can't tell if she was describing this cat as is or just wanting to sell her. Obviously raggies are famous for being velcro/floppy lap cats but every cat is an individual and plenty of them don't follow the stereotypes

Plus, I already love her personality exactly as it is, and she's the cutest most well tempered already regardless of how she ends up being. If she ends up more independent and not big on cuddling, that changes nothing about how I feel about her. If she does turn into a full velcro/lap cat, that's just a really nice bonus on top of a cat I already adore. I'm mostly just curious what more experienced Ragdoll/cat people see in this pattern. I've been on this sub for a while now and it feels like most of the posts I see are people whose cats were basically velcro/cuddly almost immediately, not many "it took weeks/months/years to get there" stories. So I wanna hear about slow burns where the bond builds gradually day by day instead of clicking right away. Or someone to tell me whether I’m reading too much into her behavior and this isn't actually indicative of anything lol
