I’ve started working on them. Sadly they were covered in layers of shellac which made the leather crack. I’ve got it off of them and conditioning them. I ordered some Tarrago black filler.🤞I hope it works.

Such lovely boots. I really want to save them. If it doesn’t work well I may have a pair made using these shafts. They are a very unique style..

They will be white Snapping Turtle and Pink Ostrich Belly! 😊

Gave them some love today. I haven’t found a really great place to take pics of boots yet. We do have a roof terrace but I haven’t checked it out yet. I’m also changing out some furniture. That windows face east. So maybe morning sun pics will work to get details on the boots. Sorry these pics are so bad

I’d been wanting a pair of Full Rattlesnake for years! Right after I moved into my museum I found these .when I got them in I was very busy with the move. People in and out. Un boxing. Anyway I realized the seller had coated the boots in shellac . I was upset but there was no time for the attention they needed, so I just rubbed them down in Lexol 2 and prayed some would soak in past the shellac.
I just finished up the frog boots last night and a short buff this morning before I put them up and thought Today is the perfect day to get that shellac off the Rattlesnake and give them a good soak .

Thank goodness the seller had only put one coat of that stuff on them. So wasn’t to hard to get off. They are breathing again 🥰 I’ll probably have to do another round of Lexol for them, especially around the ankles where the wrinkles were frozen in the shellac 🤦‍♀️ God I hate that stuff!

Such beautiful boots🤩 so this is my project for this Blessed Rainy Day. 🤗🙏👍

I got started on these African Bullfrog this morning. They are amazing first quality leather and build. They are in great condition as far as damage. We’re pretty dry but are soaking up the Lexol 2 right now. And looking fine. The only color touch up needed is the white piping. I have never heard of Melody Hotel but she made these beauties in San Diego California .

These poor back-burner boots finally got some love today. You know that pair that just gets moved around.. Tony Lama, nice leather, pretty Peacock stitching 🤷‍♀️
Well they are looking pretty as a peacock now.

Looking forward to get these Tony lama 100th Anniversary edition in so I can save them! They look like they have never been conditioned. The 100th year was in 2011. You’d have thought TL would have made a better boot for their anniversary.

My dad gave me this bowl decades ago. He said it had 24k gold flakes in it. I think it’s a cigar ashtray. I never took the gold part seriously but a few years ago I saw one kinda like this and it said gold and was expensive. What do yawl think?

I don’t know why these Tony Lama Timber Canebreak Rattlesnake have never sold on Posh. 🤷‍♀️ there is 15 watchers. Yes they need some love but I see zero missing scales. And $130. Plus. There is no room in my Rattlesnake den but I can relocate the bags and fit them there. They are really pretty with the rust suede top. I’ll post pics of them when I get them in and get them fluffed.

Got these beautiful 60’s boots in today!
These are a men’s 345 but fit my 6 1/2 B foot perfect. I’m fluffing them up. They had shellac on them and the conditioner was just sitting on top, not soaking in, so had to remove it then condition them. Other than that in great condition.

Can’t wait to get them in😁👍

Started on the next pair of Montana’s . Got them cleaned up. Damage sanded. Conditioned and stuffed to get back in boot shape. I’ll cover the damage this next week. Great well made boots

Got them finished this morning. Montana made such fine boots!
Notice the perfect tiny stitches on the close up of the Chief.
I try to buy all the Montana boots in my size that have the beautiful inlays. Next up is another pair of Montana with a little damage.

These are not Ants! Good ole Cow hide. But can’t change the title.
I’ve had these awhile but hadn’t given them any attention yet . So today is the day to get started on them.
