Warlord joins the Legio Fureans

It feels about 100 degrees in the UK right now but the show must go on. Really happy with the scale up from the Warhound here this was a bit of a chase model for myself and I love looking at it now it’s all painted.

Side note: please, for the love of Horus, tell me your ways of taking better pictures of you minis

Struggling with an airbrush

I’ve just gotten done with a very frustrating and confusing session painting up some figures with an airbrush (H&S Ultra 2024) and I’m left with an infinite number of questions and confusions on how the hell this thing works, or in mine case, doesn’t.
Apologies in advance for the many questions any help will literally save me from regretting this purchase.

  1. Paint stops near instantly after starting to spray whilst maintaining a constant amount of pressure pulling back. Essentially I keep trying to control the flow of the paint and it’s slowly stops coming out until there’s just air and then I have to pull further back on the trigger to get the same result, which of course results in splatter ruining the spray anyway. How and why does this happen? Is it something g to do with paint thinning or psi?

  2. Paint spider webs when I’m a little close (user error on that one I admit) but also spider webs when far away or any distance regardless of how much paint I’m letting through or applying. Not trying to apply a coat in one layer or anything I understand I have to layer it up in thin layers but it just doesn’t stick and continue spider webbing regardless of distance or pressure

  3. I feel I need to clean the needle and nozzle every time I change the paint as it just gets instantly clogged up again, including tip dry which I try and clean off as soon as I see it occurring. Further to this the airbrush slowly leaks air when my hands off the trigger as it stick open just a tiny amount. Thankfully no paint escapes but why is this happening? There’s not many other videos or threads I’ve found that work for me and I’m honestly feeling like just putting it away.

Apologies again for the rant/questions but I’m close to giving up which I don’t want to do as I know it’s a super helpful tool in the long run but I’ve had it 6 months now and I’ve noticed no change in ease of usage. Thanks in advance for any answers

Base and transfers to do next but it’s near 30 degrees in my room so that’s a tomorrow job for me

Transfers to do still waiting on some varnish to seal and apply them properly but had a blast with them and didn’t take ages either!
