Hey, folks. A while ago, I posted a photo of my p320. It was a great gun, but my off duty and alternate duty guns are all Glocks and for the sake of training with a consistent platform – I opted to change my main duty gun to a gen4 Glock 17. I really wanted to keep the expenses down to the bare minimum, so while repurposing some old parts that I purchased years ago, and while shopping for parts wherever I could find them ( including gun deals ), I now have my final product. Overall, I am very happy with it. I think I have the final version of the gun that I will carry for many years to come, but do find myself daydreaming about the Glock 45, and a non-optic cut 1911 TRP full rail.. for some stupid reason.
Hello, everyone.
I am a patrol officer in California and have a “Islamic Society “within my patrol area. It is a place of worship that hosts about 50 to 100 people and has service in the very early morning hours and in the evening hours as well. In light of the recent terrorist attacks against these places of worship, I am taking a proactive approach to sit out front of the temples to hopefully deter any negative actions.
So far I park out front of the church with my windows down in my marked police vehicle while in uniform and just waved to everyone as they enter and leave.
What can I do to show that I have genuine concern, but also interest? Do I say As-salamu alaykum and put my hand to my chest? What hand? What other phrase can I learn? Are there any norms I should consider?
Excuse my ignorance, this all comes from a good place.

I’ve heard from several parents that Marengo is better than the other schools, and that we should try to get our little one there, instead of the other schools (if possible).
Where does this reputation come from, is it justified, and what’s the verdict on Monterey Hills and AV?
