Guys I need help! I want to start running again after my c section 10 weeks ago. I
(’m cleared and feel good. Still have some numbness around my scar and some adhesions, no pain though and all the lochia has stopped. )
I’m scared to do any damage. I feel like every muscle has left my body. I ran before pregnancy, not during. So it’s been more than 10 months now.
Are there things I need to watch out for? How do I build up again? Should I avoid inclines in the beginning? Etc
Any help and tips would be greatly appreciated
So I always loved cooking and eating and have never ever had a complicated relationship with food. As soon as I got pregnant I stopped wanting food. Could literally go until the afternoon before I thought ‘oh maybe I should eat?!’
No appetite, no cravings no hunger. No thirst either.
It was extremely hard to nourish and hydrate myself well during the pregnancy and I was looking forward to having my appetite back after birth.
But nope! Still nothing! Does anyone have the same problem?! I’m pretty sure I’m malnourished at this point. And I’m worried my milk supply (already low) will dry up.
My life before baby was divide the day into 2-3 long blocks and be focused and productive. Needless to say me and my 6 week old are now having scattered days. The probably two months long heatwave has just started and I can’t take this baby outside for long walks. That would be the dream.
How is everyone passing the time in those hours when you’re not washing bottles, pumping or doing anything baby? I find myself on my phone wayyyyy too much and am beginning to hate myself.
I’m usually an avid reader but I find it hard to focus when I know I don’t have long (am a little adhd)
Basically the title. I am 5 weeks pp from a c section and while I’d obviously not start working out til on right now for c section reasons, I’d like to move my body again. But I’m still bleeding a little from the placental wound and was wondering if I should sit that out and wait until it fully stops, or if that’s not necessary?
Just thinking about training my arms a bit and go for longer and a bit more uphill walks for now. Light weights maybe.
So I know that placental wound bleeding aka lochia can take up to 6 weeks post partum. My bleeding had basically stopped a week ago though and wasn’t heavy anymore for the week prior. I was only wearing the thinnest of panty liners for a week.
An hour ago I had just carried my baby on the carrier for a long time (for the first time) while dancing and bouncing her a bit to get her to sleep. After getting her out, making myself a coffee and sitting down I suddenly felt a huge gush of blood. I guess at least 2 shot glasses came out.
Is that normal? Anyone had this? Could I have caused it with the baby carrier? The bleeding isn’t continuing and I’m resting now. Will call the doctor is anything intensifies or repeats but am just curious of maybe this is just normal?
So I’ve been using the Piz Buin 50+ allergy and the 30 body sunscreen for years and love it a lot. Great smell, easy to apply, one of the few that doesn’t make my sun allergy flare up, affordable. No downsides whatsoever.
However, I don’t see anyone here ever recommend it? Is there a reason? Are you all waiting for me to point you to this product or am I an idiot and have missed the warning not to use it?
I was wondering what the smartest meal is I could eat for dinner before I go in in the morning. Ideally I’d want to have a bowel movement before the hospital, but before 6am that might be tricky. And the I’d want to avoid any unnecessary gas building up.
Any tips from the veterans? Or others?
