Looking for a friend

Looking for a friend

I was playing slither.io earlier and essentially befriended another snake. originally, i had been a tiny snake stuck to their side - until i died the first time, rejoined, grew, and found them again. we became so close - we travelled so many miles, split snake rations and they killed for me and saved me from multiple smaller snakes. we played for like 20 minutes together before they tragically died and i crashed myself into a snake to die along with them - we were number 5 and 6 on the leaderboard at the moment of our deaths.

per il popolo - i have no idea who you are, but its been an honor, and i hope to find you in the next server.

love, mojito 🫒🍸🤍

Should I trust my gut?

One of my best friends has been suffering her entire life domestically, and recently it got so bad she had to stay at a mutual friends house. So against what she wanted, i reported the people who had been physically and verbally abusing her for years, because i was terrified that it would escalate to permanent damage. Last time someone reported those people she cut that person off completely- hasnt spoken to them in years. But it was one single day before she responded to me, and she knew i had reported them. and she acted like nothing at all had happened. Of course, I was joyous that she didnt cut me off, but she keeps asking me if i can come over to hers (she never usually asks this) or if we can meet up, or asking to borrow things for very generic tasks, like pens for drawing, stuff id have to give to her in person. Now my gut has been screaming from the moment she messaged me back that something is incredibly off, and as far as i know she hasnt asked the mutual friend to hang out alone with her like shes been asking me. I hate this feeling, and i could potentially be paranoid, but my gut keeps warning that she might hurt me if i meet with her, because she has not already acted on my report. every time i message her itll be like before i reported her abusers and then there'll be one strange text that is not like how she usually talks and its throwing me off. i want to trust her completely and i love her dearly but my gut is so loud and so scared that she’ll hurt me. I genuinely dont know what to do - should i trust my gut?
