Bad Estie school, how do I educate myself?

I’m coming to terms with the fact that my school is not going to teach me anything except how to pass the state board and I need to educate myself. I’m looking for good book recs, online practical education, etc about:

- skin types and skin issues

- product ingredient knowledge and how to choose products

- what machines I should invest in and what they do for the skin😭

- post-wax skincare

- literally anything. I have no idea what I’m missing out on

Baptism advice!

Hello! My husband and I are going to be received into the church in the next 3-4 months after almost 4 years of waiting! I’m very excited and want to celebrate it.

- what traditions are there leading up to baptism? Fun things to make the last little bit of waiting time sacred and memorable. I want to make the most of it

- any beautiful writings from saints to read about baptism, confirmation, first communion, etc…

- anything you found beautiful leading up to your first communion

Thank you!

Recordings deleted from Hallow

A few years ago, I used Hallow to listen to the letters of St. Paul, but now those recordings are gone from the app. They were by far my favorite thing on there, and I want to find them again so badly!

If anyone remembers, the recording was of an older gentleman and the audio had pen scratching noises, coughing, etc. it was meant to be immersive like we were listening to him write them in prison.

Please lmk if there is any way to listen to them again!

Hello, I am not Catholic yet, but I’m curious about how Catholic women practice NFP.

This is mostly a hypothetical question at this point, and I know that this subreddit is not my spiritual authority, so no need to remind me to go talk to a priest- I definitely will!

I am on hormonal birth control to combat pretty severe ovarian cysts. In the past I’ve gotten horrible internal infections from when they burst, and sex seems to be permanently painful after the last one. As I understand it, birth control to treat this is allowed and is not considered sinful, but what about sex? If we become Catholic will we be expected to abstain while I’m on the birth control, or is it okay as long as we’re not using it to intentionally prevent pregnancy? I still have a cycle of sorts, so should we only have sex during what would have been my infertile periods?

Thanks!
