Does anyone want to help mod the sub?

Hi. I took over this sub about two years or so ago from the person who originally created it because that person was no longer interested in running the sub (and has since deleted both their reddit account and their email address), and I was an active user and I didn’t want to see the sub go away. With that being said, I don’t think running this sub is a one person job. I have recruited other mods to help me run the sub and for a while they were good at communicating, but lately it has been harder to be in contact with them. Granted, I am an immunocompromised and disabled individual, so I can’t afford to be online 24/7. Right now, I am the primary mod who responds to user requests and DMs. As I said, it is a lot for one person to do. Therefore, I am looking for help running this sub. Last time, I posted a post on the reddit sub find a mod, but that was not the best idea because people who did not agree with our sub reported us to multiple libraries who asked us to remove their cards from our list or face penalties. (This is one reason we no longer have a public list)

Qualifications I would like to see:

*Have previously shared a card with the sub

*Will not report the sub to libraries

*will abide by the subs rules

*must love books and be proficient with the Libby app

*Be able to communicate with other mods and respond in a timely manner

Responsibility’s:

*responding to user dm and mod mail

*maintaining LastPass database and making sure it is up to date

*policing the sub and making sure it is free of any (for lack of a better word) Trolls.

*monitoring the sub email account

This sub has been a passion of mine as an avid reader and book lover since I took it over, and I would love to see it continue for many years to come.

Thank you.

Best time of day to take Cymbalta/Duloxetine? Nervous to start.

Hi. My (27f) pyschiatrist just put me on 30mg duloxetine/Cymbalta. She wants me to start the medication immediately even though I’m currently on Effexor. She said that because I’m on Effexor 37.5mg that I can switch directly to Cymbalta 30 with no withdrawal effects but I forget the exact reason why she explained it to me.

She also said that I should take the medication when I wake up with my 10 mg IR Dextroamphetamine/adderall for adhd but I am scared to take it when I wake up because on the bottle it says it causes fatigue — also the bottle doesn’t specify to take it in the morning, it just says to take it once a day. So I would personally feel more comfortable taking it at night. But at the same time I’m worried about insomnia. So I’m not sure what is best? On top of this I have also been experiencing insomnia the last few weeks and I am not sure if it because of my adhd medication (she has been trying different medication on me besides adderall including Focalin, Vyvanse and Concerta) or the Venlafexine.

Thank you for any advice!

Having trouble converting LCPL to epub on windows

Hi. I posted on here earlier today because I am trying to convert LCPL to EPUB to be able to open on Calibre. When I’ve searched this sub, I have seen that some people have gotten it to work with windows but not Mac. Thankfully I have a Windows 11 computer and a MacBook, but if I am being honest I am more tech savvy when it comes to windows. Right now I am having trouble installing dedrm on windows. I get an error message which I’ll paste below. I remember seeing this error message on Mac before but I forget what it means. I just want to be able to open my netgalley books on Windows and Mac in Calibre.

Thank you.

Wondering if there has been any fix to convert LCPL files to EPUB or pdf on Mac in 2026

I haven’t been able to put my NetGalley books on calibre in months since they got rid of acsm. I always used to like to convert my NetGalley books to kfx or acsm and now I can’t. I was wondering if there has been any successful way to do this on a Mac yet. I see ways to do it on windows but none for Mac.

Thank you.

Has anyone else been told they should take vraylar 3mg every other day?

I am on 3mg vraylar and my pyschiatrist just told me today that they want me to try taking it every other day. They said because of vraylar’s half life this is perfectly safe to do. The reason that they want me to take it every other day is that I have been experiencing extreme daytime fatigue and they want to try and pin point if it is the vraylar causing it or one of the other drugs I’m on (Adderall 20 xr, Venlafexine 37.5mg, Propranolol 60 xr). I thought I would post here and see anyone’s experiences taking it every day as the only time I’ve taken a drug every other day is when I’m tapering.

I’m not a doctor obviously but I think the fatigue may actually stem from the Venlafexine as I just increased the dose from 25mg a few weeks ago and Google said that when a dose changes, over 20% of patients can experience fatigue. So before stopping Venlafexine, my pyschiatrist wants me to try this first.

Thank you for any feedback.
