Trying to calculate calories, but feeding multiple foods...

I have a cat in need of dechonking, he's currently probably 18-20lbs, and last time we went to the vet, he was almost 16lbs and I was told to put him on a diet, which I got lax with.

I was feeding him Hill's Science Diet Light food, but he got tired of it and started refusing to eat it, so I switched him to Iams Healthy Adult with Chicken, which he is also starting to get tired of. I'm also feeding multiple brands of Friskies wet food, which he loves, and doesn't seem to get tired of so long as I rotate flavors every few days. (Currently have 10 flavors of Friskies in my home 😭)

I know dry food is more caloric, so I'm planning on cutting way down on that (maybe just leaving a dish for overnight), or possibly even cutting it out, but that still leaves the issue of multiple types of wet food. He starts to get bored of food if I only feed one flavor, so cutting down to one type of wet food is not ideal.

That said, how do I calculate calories for multiple types of food? Should I just do it 10 different times right now, or do it the morning of right before I feed? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm feeling overwhelmed and out of my depth. (Also, not great at math, so nervous about calculating multiple portions).

Here is the cat tax with a silly photo I asked someone to make on PhotoshopRequest.

Can someone edit a navy blue boonie hat and black foam Birkenstocks on my cat? Willing to pay $20.

The hat and shoes don't have to be the exact images I linked, but more of a guide. Also, please make his little ears pop out from the hat? Thank you! No AI please!

My cat decimated my foam sandals when he was a kitten. The tear he created finally ripped fully after 2 years, so I sewed it back together!

These are my favorite sandals, they're so comfy but my kitty decided he liked them even more, lol.

I tried duct tape at first, but when I sat down criss cross applesauce, one side of the strap popped out of the tape (and left that white residue; any tips to get rid of it?). So, I ripped it off and sewed it shut instead!

It's not very pretty, but I'm only wearing them around the house anyway. Still need to do the slits by the toe, but I'm putting it off because the foam is thicker there, and the angle means it's going to be trickier to fix.

Happy with them for now though, and they're holding up well. Not bad for my first visible mending project!

33F Do I need stitches?

My cat scratched me really bad, left about a 2.5 inch wound on my face. If I move/open my mouth, the wound gapes. Do I need stitches, or a butterdly bandage?

(First pic is of me opening my mouth, second is with my face relaxed).

Looking for a bingeable show, bonus points for a strong female lead

My mom and I have been bingeing shows at night and are starting to run out of things to watch. She loves dramas, thrillers, medical, true crime, home renovation and shows that aren't comedies, but are still funny (if that makes any sense). She's not usually a fan of supernatural, sci-fi, fantasy or comic book adaptations, but will give it a shot, and if the writing is good enough, she might even like it!

We've watched:

  • Daredevil, and Daredevil: Born Again, (Totally took me by surprise, didn't think she would like this one at all, but she did)
  • the Defenders, (She liked it, but nit as much as Daredevil)
  • Jessica Jones, (I thought this would be more up her alley because the writing is so good and it's one of my Marvel faves, but she just couldn't get into it)
  • the Night Manager, Season 1, (This is more her speed so she enjoyed it)
  • Scarpetta, (She loves the books so this was kind of a given)
  • Fringe, (Another surprise hit)
  • Gilmore Girls, (She LOVED it)
  • Bunheads, (Thought this would be a hit because she loved Gilmore Girls but we only got a few episodes in because she couldn't get into it)
  • Dexter, Dexter: New Blood, Dexter: Original Sin, Dexter: Resurrection, (She liked these too, but Original Sin wasn't as good as the others in her opinion)
  • Elementary, (This is what we are currently watching, I think she could kind of take it or leave it)
  • Matlock (with Kathy Bates), (We started out both really enjoying this, but Season 2 was kind of a letdown and we gradually stopped watching it)
  • Chad Powers, (She liked it, which surprised me, she's not usually a comedy fan, but she does like football)
  • Castle Impossible, (We both liked this one)
  • Bargain Block, (RIP, we had fun)
  • House, (We've both seen it before, and only watched a few episodes I think she was having trouble getting into it since she had already seen it)
  • Paradise (We started it, and she was enjoying it until the end of episode 1? because of the big spoiler and you find out things are not as they seem)
  • Broadchurch (Was a hit)
  • All Her Fault (We both loved it)

So far her favorites have been

  1. Gilmore Girls
  2. Fringe
  3. Dexter, Dexter: New Blood, and Dexter: Resurrection

I still have a few shows lined up, I think she will like; I'm pretty sure she'll enjoy Veronica Mars. She'll probably like the Handmaid's Tale, but I'm not sure I will like it (it's so dark). I'm not sure about New Girl, and Echo. I don't think she would like Buffy the Vampire Slayer (she's mentioned it in the past, negatively), however she's never actually watched an episode, and I didn't think she would like Fringe, so I figure it's worth a shot.

Some of her current favorite shows are

  • Tracker
  • Ghosts (US)
  • Dateline
  • FBI
  • NCIS: Origins
  • High Potential
  • Doc
  • Homeland

Some of my favorite shows (I love comedy, sci-fi, and strong female leads:

  • Veronica Mars
  • Community
  • 30 Rock
  • Scrubs (old and reboot)
  • True Blood
  • Chad Powers
  • the Office
  • Futurama
  • You're the Worst
  • the Great
  • Fargo

If you can think of anything we would bith enjoy, please let me know. Thank you!

edit: Please keep in mind I want to watch this with my MOM. Also, easy on the sci-fi and fantasy, as much as I love it, Mom isn't normally a fan. Thank you so much for all the suggestions though, I am trying to write them all down!

An ACTUAL Hannah Stuelke Update: She's going to be playing for Logiman Broni in Italy!

Scroll down to Broni, there's a blurb about the team that mentions her. (Translated via Google Translate).

>Carlotta Gianolla returns from injury—a welcome boost for both her and the team—and there are the arrivals of Togliani and Winkowsa from Brescia; Martina Crippa remains with the squad, as does Moroni; and the American Hanna Stuelke arrives from Iowa. Plus, there are other additions to further bolster the roster.

Looks like Madison Hayes played there last season as well!
