Techno Union Warships

Besides the hardcell-class and the bulwark (which I can't find picutures of) are there records of any techno union specific warships?

Turns out the raddus is three kilometers long

double the length of a star destroyer and more than twice the length of home one, this is a colossal ship

Star destroyer ventral guns

I was watching back through a new hope and I noticed that in the opening scene, the star destroyer fires a lot of shots from its ventral side- including the big blasts that seem to be heavier guns.

I know that the gun turrets were added on later and it just fires from wherever, but there's a very clear display that some of those guns should be on the underside

the WORST cruiser

A large gunship with a tiny fighter complement is probably the worst possible design for fighting a hit-and-run insurgency. It dramatically reduces the operational spread, which is a big problem when just one Imperial-class is meant to subjugate a planet or system.

It's powerful, but completely unsuited for its role- and that's the more important thing to me.

Fleet Overview: Kay Gor's Separatist Holdout

Admiral Kay Gor was always a true believer in the separatist cause. When the shutdown order was transmitted, she cut it off and resolved to stay in the fight. When Imperial fleets swept in to mop up, a very vindicated Kay Gor ran for the outer rim, and eventually managed find and set up shop on an almost uninhabited moon, which she named Ando Omega ('final planet' in her native Harch.)

This became the base of operations for a far-ranging raiding fleet, conducting hit-and-run attacks on imperial installations far away from their hidden base. The ships are gradually being upgraded via shady deals, paid for by the holdout's raids.

1x Providence-class dreadnought "Greivous Wound" (renamed in honour of the late war hero) is Gor's flagship. The two-thousand-meter-long warship is rarely deployed, and spends most of its time hidden in a nearby asteroid field waiting for the moment when its colossal firepower is needed. It can outgun a star destroyer, but it doesn't like to: people tend to notice when imperial cruisers go missing.

3x Lucrehulk-class battleships out of 4 managed to escape the empire- the ponderous galleons were bad at running. Two were too badly damaged to serve, and were grounded to start the holdout base. The third- named "Perseverance"- had its livery and illegal weaponry stripped, and now operates as a disguised mobile base/pirate ship as the need arises.

0x Subjugator-class battlecruisers are in her possession, but she wants one so bad. If anyone knows anyone who knows where to find it, please let her know. She will reward you.

7x Recusant-class heavy cruisers proved one of the fleet's first logistical hurdles. The CIS doctrine of cheap but fragile ships could be crippling for a resource-starved insurgency. Extra shields and armour were added, much to the relief of the droid brains. The extra plating also creates more space for vulture droids- referred to as 'little ones' by the recusants- to hide.

10x Munificent-class pocket cruisers are quite useful for hit-and run attacks. Replacing the superheavy turbolasers with ion cannons proved too difficult to be feasible, but they still make very effective ambushers with their prows up-armoured.

14x Hardcell-class transports survived the flight, and were immediately grounded. their parts were stripped for repairs, and now they're just buildings with a history.

16x Gozanti-class light cruisers have been acquired and purchased through various means, and prove quite useful for covert operations such as smuggling, piracy, spying, or picking up shady purchases.

Various Sheathipede- and- other- shuttles came with the fleet to Ando Omega, and are employed in various fundraising ventures- generally smuggling or selling. The more ubiquitous gozantis are used for most of the things a small shuttle can do. One sheathipede- "Gnat-" is Kay Gor's transport, with improved shields, engines, and hyperdrive, and used for negotiations with other holdouts, partisans, and outlaws.

(please ask me about things! It'll help me flesh it out more.)

KDY presidential escort

the Kuat of Kuats, president of KDY, appreciates the finer things in life. Her personal executive yacht is a heavily customized Raider-class corvette, which has been converted into an well-defended luxury yacht that maintains the military appearance that customers expect. The yacht has been stripped of most of its weapons, only retaining the point-defense laser cannons and hangars.

In this war-torn galaxy, even the humble and morally neutral war profiteer is a target. Kuat Systems Engineering-the starfighter wing- is gone, but no self-respecting KDY president would use Seinar's TIEs. So, the starfighter complement is a squadron of custom-made Eta-3 interceptors, based of the clone war Eta-2 class designs, but modernized and adapted for a non-jedi ace.

KDY offers the pilots' families and loved ones well-paying jobs on the presidential yacht, as a gesture of goodwill- and motivation for the pilots to stay loyal.

The ARC-200: A new starfighter for a new republic

Our rebellion's victory over the empire has proved a lot about tenacity, the power of people, and the importance of bravery. It has also proved a lot about naval combat.

Imperial gunboats were outmaneuvered and outfought by our starfighter pilots, whose tough-and-agile craft could outmaneuver the dangerous but fragile imperial fighters. However, our bombers were old, and a new republic needs a new fighter-bomber. Enter the ARC-200.

Built from the best ideas of the clone wars (our last peer conflict) and the rebellion, the ARC-200 will replace the Y-wing as our primary fighter-bomber. Quad engines will give the craft exemplary maneuverability, and the dual seating (pilot/bombardier in the front, defense gunner/systems operatior in the reach) lets the pilot focus on using that maneuverability to precisely deliver its many weapons: self-defense laser cannons, heavy ion cannons, and racks of proton torpedoes in the nose.

The craft is not only quick, it's well-shielded, to make it easier for the pilot to reach their target and avoid losses. With a remnant on the loose and a galaxy recovering from the imperial fist, it is essential not to stretch our people too thin. To that end: a heavy, resilient fighter-bomber with the maneuverability of our X-wing and the power our Y-wings wanted.

Vote for the ARC-200 and the New Class. Vote to save our dream!

apparently the providence-class dreadnought is 1000 meters long?

that's a little smaller than the recusant-class light destroyer and the munificent-class frigate. And this is in a universe where ships labelled 'dreadnoughts' are multiple times the size of smaller classes.

Remnant Retrofit

You are the head technician of an Imperial II-class star destroyer. Following the catastrophe at Endor, your ambitious captain has decided that the destroyer and its full complement will become the start of a new, powerful remnant force.

This is where you come in. It's your job to figure out what kinds of changes have to be made for this force to survive on its own without the imperial supply lines. Your funds are whatever you can make via piracy or selling off the contents of the ship, plus 10 million credits from the captain's pocket (she's been saving up). Good luck!
