Coach yelled in my face today.

I’m an older female, he’s a very young guy. I pushed back on his interpretation of a workout (we have issues with the app we use and unfortunately quite often things are open for interpretation). Anyway, I made a small movement modification during the WOD which caused him to storm up to me, get an inch from my ear and yell, “I’M THE COACH!”. I kept my cool in the moment, but I’d be lying if I said it didn’t rattle me a bit.

Mayhem Programming

I’m moving and have two options for boxes. A: uses mayhem programming, serious athletes B: in house programming but most members only go 1-2 days a week (and it’s 30 more a month). A seems like the right option for me, but I’ve heard complaints about Mayhem’s programming. I’m in my late 40’s, still wanting to improve but also wanting to keep my joints in tact. Thought?

Hip flexors

I’m in a gnarly week of programming that seems to be ALL hip flexors. Today was: burpee box jumps, run, echo, run, burpee box jumps. Tuesday was idk 100 wallballs. I’m dying. How do I increase the strength/endurance of my hip flexors? 🙏

Stubborness

I’ve recently run into a few situations where people of “authority” were factually wrong and when I tried to push back, they dug in deeper. In both situations the assumption was that I was not educated on the topic. I’m an immigrant and so my reaction is to kindly move on, but be quietly frustrated for days (because I am highly educated on the topics being discussed). I’m trying to not make this a cultural thing, as there are stubborn people everywhere, so my question is, how do you handle this?
