discard strawberry shortbread biscuits 🍓
1.75 cups of flour
3/4 cup milk
.5 tbsp vinegar
.75 cup discard
.25 cup sugar
.5 tsp salt
1 tbsp baking powder
.5 tsp baking soda
12 tbsp cold butter
Mix vinegar with milk. Let it curdle for 10-15 minutes. Add sourdough discard. In separate bowl, mix dry ingredients & cut in cold butter until you’re left with pea sized butter bites. Add wet ingredients. Mix until combined. Dump out onto floured surface & laminate dough 3-4 times. Careful to not overwork dough. Cut biscuits. Bake for 15-20 minutes, depending on size at 400.

I *think* I saw two eagles at Pittsfield Nature Preserve (off E Textile) on Thursday while on a run, but I can’t be sure as I’ve never seen one IRL. I found an Instagram post from 2 years ago where someone also said they saw them there (along with picture evidence), but I don’t know if eagles stay around for a long time.
Has anyone else seen eagles at Pittsfield Nature Preserve? I moved to Michigan 6 years ago, & I’ve been dying to see some eagles! 🥹
