Update on Maya the maggot cat
Good morning,
https://www.reddit.com/r/CatsOfUAE/s/BNMuo3hdMJ
She was taken to Petopia on Friday night. She’s stable and active.
No more maggots or ticks.
She will need a lot of time for her mouth to heal though.
Hope to find her a loving home soon.
Parks are not safe for cats
Please, please stop putting cats in parks. 💔
Thursday was the last day I went to Mirdif Park. I decided not to go back because I had already rescued 7 cases from there. One sadly died, and 6 are still active cases in the clinic.
The kitten who died had severe anemia caused by Mycoplasma. I currently have two other cases with severe anemia, and their blood counts are dangerously low.
The park is full of ticks, and many of the cats are suffering from Mycoplasma, anemia, infections and malnutrition. The kittens are fighting just to survive.
One of my current cases is Talia, who is being discharged today. I went to the park this morning only because I wanted to find her sister, take some photos of her, and post her for adoption.
Instead, I found her sister in this condition. She has huge ticks attached inside her mouth and another one in her ear, along with eye discharge, just like Talia had. I immediately brought her to the clinic.
We have been here since 7:40 AM, and the doctors will arrive at 10 AM to examine her. This is now another serious case from the park.
Please do not dump cats in parks. A park is not a safe place for a domestic cat or a kitten. They are exposed to ticks, Mycoplasma, viruses, infections, starvation and severe anemia.
And if you already see cats in the parks, please give them a chance. Adopt, foster, or help them find homes. They deserve a chance at a safe life.
Please don’t add another cat to this suffering.
Thalia two months old. Can’t go back to the park
Talia is only 2 months old and was rescued from Mirdif Park after being found very dehydrated and with painful ulcers in her mouth. She has been receiving treatment at the clinic and is now doing much better. ❤️
She is ready to be discharged tomorrow, but I really don’t want to put this tiny kitten back into the park, where she will be exposed to the same risks and illnesses again.
Talia is looking for a foster or, even better, a forever home.
She also has a very cute little sister still in Mirdif Park. I would love to get her sister somewhere safe too, so they don’t have to grow up in the park.
If you can foster or adopt Talia, please send me a message.

6 rescued kittens from Mirdif park 💐
These kittens were rescued from Mirdif Park and are being treated in Petopia vet clinic. but we cannot return them there. 💔
The park has so many sick cats, and the kittens are exposed to viruses, mycoplasma and other infections. Many are anemic, severely malnourished, and struggling to survive.
They are now safe and looking for loving homes or foster families. 🐾❤️
They deserve a chance at a healthy, safe life — not to be returned to the park.
If you can offer one of them a home or support , please message me.

Please rescue from Mirdif park- another case of Calici.
Hello,
She’s barely 2 months old.
From Petopia vet clinic:
Talia has mild anemia and thrombocyopenia which common in Mycoplasma hemofelis ( we found ticks on her today which also transmit blood parasite as Mycoplasma) , we gave anti external parasites
She has tongue ulcers which usually a symptom of calici virus / she has eye infection which usually a sign of Herpes virus and Chlamydia felis
She is eating, peeing, pooping normally, no vomiting, on medications and eye drops
