Core muscle tips

Recently realised my core muscles are suuuper weak (like couldn't even get my shoulders off the ground to do a sit up) and I think it's contributing to my bad back which has prevented me from working out for the last three months.

Any tips on how to ease myself into strengthening the muscles??

Could it be vagus nerve?

Sudden onset of illness in December. Heart palpitations and dizziness/blackouts, progressed to chest pain and fatigue. Standard heart checks have come up clear and I've tried going down the digestive route but gerd medicine has made me worse. Vagus nerve dysfunction popped up in my new research, could it be related?

How would I test this and what can I do to fix it?

Endoscopy success stories please

I have to get an endoscopy and I'm very nervous about it. Never had iv/sedation, and I'm very emetophobic so scared of having anything down my throat.

Can anyone share success stories or tell me it's going to be alright? Would definitely help me freak out less. (I'm in the UK and would be getting it on the NHS if relevant)

Expedited referral?

My gp has expedited a referral for me. What are the chances I'll actually be seen quicker? And will I hear if anything has changed or will I still just be left waiting for the first appointment?

These wait times are actually ridiculous

I just got told that I need high intensity therapy for my anxiety, but the wait in my area is ten and a half months. That's April 2027.

In what universe is it okay to leave someone in a mental health crisis unsupported for that long. I got in touch because I am paralysed with it in all my day to day life, and now I'm expected to just keep myself alive for another year before they'll do anything to help me?

Ppis are making me worse?

I've been taking lansoprazole for two and a half weeks now and my symptoms have only gotten worse. For the first week and a bit my appetite was hugely increased which meant I could eat more without difficulty, which is good I guess, other than that nothing has changed and I've been getting chest pain way more frequently than before I was on it.

It was prescribed for heart palpitations, dizziness and chest pain (after ruling out immediate heart issues) but all of those symptoms have been significantly worse in the last few weeks. Landed myself in hospital with the worst flare up of my life last weekend, and the doctor still insisted it was stomach issues making me so sick.

Why are ppis making me worse? Is there anything else I can do?

(if relevant, have been having these symptoms since December, so far the only thing that has helped is magnesium supplements, but even those aren't doing much at the minute)

I had another ER visit last night. Went for 5 hours of palpitations followed by a fever and feeling super sick. Nauseous and dizzy all day and then started getting chest pain.

Told Dr all my history (been having this issues since Dec but this was the worst flare up I've ever had) and he said he was confident it was stomach problems and that my heart is fine. Even told me I am too young for anything to be wrong (I'm 20).

Here's the thing, I'm not against the idea that it's my stomach cause I've had issues with it since I was a kid. But I don't understand what else I'm supposed to do. I don't drink alcohol, smoke or do drugs, I don't drink caffeine, I eat on a regular routine and never right before bed, I'm taking PPIs but all they do is make me really hungry. I've had stomach trouble when I was younger but never anything wrong with my heart until now.

Apparently this was all caused because I took two doses of ibuprofen. Two. Ten hours apart, the normal dose, to cope with a back injury that's been giving me really severe pain for weeks. How is that possible? What else am I supposed to do to fix this?

It's so scary and every doctor I talk to just tells me I'm too young, but I know something is wrong. I don't know how I'm supposed to carry on when I've done everything they've told me and I'm still not getting any better

Started taking lansoprazole 5 days ago ish and ever since I've been super gnawingly hungry basically all the time. Does anyone else get this?

I wasn't sure if it was the weather because it's been really hot but feels like it happened super fast after starting the ppi
