Rear caliper snap on cover

Bought 2024 used 3months ago...was detailing wheels this weekend and thought the snap on covers fell off/stolen.

Reached out the lexus parts...the rears don't come with covers. So why the exposed clips then???

If a cop uses his instant on radar and zaps a car doing the speed limit, and you are 1,2, or 3 miles away headed towards the cop....will a good radar like the Uniden R4 pick that up or does it only pick up constant radar beams for the most part?
