These seem to be the (2) 1xAA ZL's in my collection that work properly with any AA-sized battery chemistry.
Here's some of my other ZLs, with the remaining ones in my backroom office.
I've been coming across some posts relating to these cells and then it dawned on me that I thought I had at least a couple of these lying around. After rummaging through my stash, I did come across three of these that I have, just lying around. I know for a fact they have not been used or charged in many months.
To the eyes, they appear fine. On the meter, they read 3.91v, 4.09v and 4.06v. Is it worth the risk to keep them or should I just discard them? It's not like I don't have other 14500 cells, although, I really don't use them.
In reading some of the posts about certain lights (FC11C comes to mind) failing after a drop, it got me to thinking as to whether or not potting the head/bezel could help from having a failure. That led me to wondering, what material would be best to use?
Does anyone else think it would help?
Anyway to easily troubleshoot this to rule out the actual switch? The downhill assist and AWD switches in the same cluster work just fine.

Looking to replace my 2007 Tacoma with a brand new, fully loaded, 4Runnner. Is there anything of which I should be concerned?
