Is it better to start in the spring or the fall?

Hello all :) I’m sure this question has been asked many a time, so I do apologize, but I could use some guidance. A little backstory, I greatly struggled in school, which led to me dropping out in middle school (I know…. It’s my deepest regret), but last year I worked my butt off and finally got my GED! I originally wanted to enroll in my local CC this year, but I have been struggling with some health issues so I’ve had to put it off. Anywho. I was planning on starting this coming spring of 2027, but I saw someone say that it’s more challenging to start in the spring and it can mess up your transfer schedule. I don’t know if that’s true, so that’s why I’m here :). My question is, is it better to start in the spring semester or the fall semester? Thank you!!!

Worried about keeping up

Hello! So, I (27F) am planning on enrolling in my local community college within the next year. I’m very excited but I’m also terrified. Due to health reasons (mental & physical), I did not get very far in school. In fact, I only got through k-6th grade. I did try to learn through homeschooling, but I never succeeded. I was bullied pretty heavily by some of my early teachers in public school so learning was not the most enjoyable thing for me lol. I also spent many years as a caretaker for my ailing grandmother (with my mother of course). Anywho. Last year, I bit the bullet and got my GED! Woohoo :) it was hard work but I did it. I know that college is the next step, but I am so so so scared that because of my lack of schooling, I will struggle with keeping up and I will ultimately fail and have to drop out. I guess what I’d like to know is, will community college be as challenging as I expect it to be? I’m willing to work as hard as I can, but I’m worried that it won’t be enough :/. Anyways, I could just really use some advice. Thank you all so much!

edit: I forgot to add that I will be pursuing an associates of the arts and I will then (hopefully) be transferring to a 4-year university to receive my bachelor’s in either English or history.

What is this egg? Bird or reptile/insect?

Hey y’all! I was just out in my garden and noticed this little egg while weeding. Does anyone know what it is? I googled it and I found many different answers haha. I’d say it’s about an inch and a half long, I didn’t pick it up but it seemed rather solid. I live in a rural area of the southeast of America, so I have a lot of birds in my yard. Thanks so much!!
