Mistakenly game banned likely because of Claude Cowork hypervisor on my Machine
Has anyone else received a game ban mistakenly and been using Claude Cowork or similar AI tools on their computer.
I believe the likely cause is hypervisor detection. For several weeks prior to the ban, the EAC launcher on my machine consistently hung at "initializing" and never closed. During that period Windows Virtual Machine Platform / Hyper-V was enabled on my system, because my job requires it, I run Microsoft and Anthropic tooling that depends on WSL2 and the Virtual Machine Platform feature. My understanding is that this causes Windows itself to run under a hypervisor, which EAC may read as a virtualization or debugging environment.
I was not running Rust inside a virtual machine, and I made no attempt to bypass or interfere with EAC. The initialization hang was a persistent problem I was troubleshooting, not something I introduced deliberately.
If anyone else has had this happen can we please upvote this so it gets some attention? I need help!
