Update: Im scared lol

So I am out of room in the back for swelling but ad you can see there is so bar space in the front. I am worried about the swelling...is this going to give me cauliflower ear? :( The doctor gave me a course of twice a day cefadroxil 500mg even though I don't think it is infected. Better safe then sorry.

It does hurt but taking 300mg ibuprofen every few hours keeps that at bay.

Swelling 11 days in like this?

Okay so I did this helix myself 11 days ago and up until 2 days ago I was really pleased with how fast it looked like it was healing. I had very minimal swelling after the piercing. Fast forward to 2 1/2 days ago and the jewel and the front was rubbing the front of my lobe so I pushed it back a bit because I had all this room. It possible I irritated it in other ways but either way it looks like this this morning. It isn't hurting right now but you can see the swelling and it feels like its my whole ear and not just the piercing site. Its not draining anything and as you can see it isn't crazy red either. Do I just leave it alone ? Does it look infected? Really if it wasnt my whole ear I wouldn't even be making this post lol

Dance party?

Are there any games or apps where you just hang out and dance to music? I don't want to exercise per say but would love to just feel like im jamming in the same room with other people.

So i did it but have questions

So i did it...first self piercing 16g helix. It didnt hurt...but bled alot and i struggled to get the eating in but its in now and I tried to split the difference so half the bar is stick out each side. I have bactine to spray on it. Should I take ibuprofen right away? I know some inflammation is healthy.

Helix placement question

Okay so I want to pierce my helix but I am seeing conflicting placements that are called helix. I was thinking this red mark would be good and it would come out the back of the ear so the flat back essentially lays towards my head....but I see images of the helix where people pierce through the roll of the ear so the back of the stud is coming out facing behind me (hope that makes sense). Which is correct? My goal is to be able to put a hoop in so it has to be close to the roll but I wasnt thinking it should be through it.

First timer

So I purchased everything I think I need to pierce my helix. I read it should be 16g so thats the needles I got coming. My question is do I hold something behind my ear for stability while I pierce? I don't thinking pulling my ear forward so I can really see is a good idea and im afraid that would make the angle bad but I thought maybe something between my head and my ear would be wise? Am I over thinking this?

Books where the main character is homeschooled?

I was homeschooled and now I homeschool my daughter. I'm going on a personal deep dive for books where the main character is homeschooled and I've found Walden, But With Bug Spray by Castellia Dane and both of The Homeschool Diaries by Beth Curry and I really enjoyed them...are there any other books where the main characters are homeschooled?
