Conditioner that works for fine hair

Looking for a recommendation for a clean conditioner (particularly one that is free of known hormone disruptors) for my daughter. She has very fine hair, prone to breakage and a lot of tangles. We have been using “attitude” brand. But she definitely has lot of knots in her hair afterwards compared to the regular conditioner I use for myself. Even with the honest company detangling spray- it’s very knotted.

Anyone notice a difference in their skin with Anua azaleic acid vs 15% prescription?

I was using the Anua for a few weeks before getting the prescription. Once I got the prescription, I realized my skin was flaking and really dry. I’ve had to take a break from it. I don’t consider myself to have sensitive skin, but it is dry/combo. I use arazlo/tarazotene every night and have been some kind of prescription retinoid for nearly 5 years. When my skin was flaking- I was using the prescription every morning and taz/retinoid at night. Some days I may have used in the AM and PM. My fault for not heeding my derm’s recommendation of only alternating taz and AA. I watched “the doctorly”‘s video yesterday regarding AA and am wondering if I should just stick to the Anua. It’s a lower percentage but it is solubilized so that it has better penetration- so its efficacy in this form vs prescription could be the same or better but also less irritating.

RIP Sephora pro brush #55.5

I have had my Sephora pro brush #55.5 (the travel size) for an unknown number of years. This brush with like 4 tiny dots from a pump of the OG Estée Lauder double wear foundation have been keeping my skin flawless for years! The brush is their “airbrush” foundation brush. Super loosely packed and just glides and spreads a minimal amount of foundation all over in a super thin layer. The hairs a coming out in clumps now, and I am just so sad it has been discontinued. I haven’t found anything like it to replace it. RIP my beloved. Time to figure out a new base routine since the DW foundation is also reformulated and I need to give it a try.

Regimen for azelaic acid and retinoid

I have been on arazlo/tarazotene for about 4 years and use it every night. I requested an rx for azelaic acid from my dermatologist (actually a PA at the derm’s office). I haven’t checked yet but I think it is 15% finacea (it could be 20%, but I’m assuming she would start me on 15%). She said to alternate it with my retinoid. I didn’t get to discuss this with her more in depth, but I’ve been using 10% azelaic from Anua for the past few weeks every morning and arazlo at night and my skin has been fine. I even used it in the AM and PM on a few days but that did seem to cause a little irritation. I am hoping the AA will help with my PIE from cystic acne I had 4 years prior.

How is everyone else using AA + tret/taz?

I am curious because the PIE has been a concern of mine since I started seeing her 4 years prior and my derm never recommended it for me. She also did not think the pustules that I was experiencing in the perioral area were hormonal, and after about 6 months of different topicals she had samples of in the office- finally started me on spironolactone which cleared it up in 4 weeks. To treat the PIE, she did several sessions of fractora (Microneedling with radio frequency). It seems she may not be the most up to date on the protocols.
