Backup Career Opportunities?

Okay I'm going to try and keep this semi-short, but also share enough details for people to provide relevant options/ideas. Thank you in advance for any insight or recommendations!

Dual income, no kids. First time home buyer. Only I'm on the deed & make the most income. My partner's hours were cut last month & my remote job is looking less and less secure this year (due to structural issues within the company; which has been ongoing for a few years & feel efforts have been unsuccessful/unstable). This has given me a lot of mental stress, and am currently in the mindset of trying to figure out if I just deal with the sh*t/change my mindset & hope it gets better, OR find a back-up to jump ship to before it's too late. Have talked to the owner about it a few times & he says not to worry, but I'm worried.

I'd need to make as close to $60K annually for us to make it by somewhat comfortably. I'm very budget savvy (I created a spreadsheet) & could cut back a little on food costs, but that's literally all I could cut back on (everything else are essentials such as home bills, car insurance, health insurance). No debts other than the house loan being paid off.

I'm curious to see what options are out there for remote or in-person careers. I have a Bachelor's degree (Journalism & Mass Communications, with a minor in Entrepreneurship) and am super loyal to business owners/companies that reciprocate the care I put into my intrapreneurship approach & work time/talent/energy with them (maybe too loyal to a fault, but really enjoy doing good work with people I enjoy building with). Would love to stick with my current job for 20+ more years but I just don't know if I can rely on that at this point, which is devastating to me.

I work well cross-generationally, typically get promoted within my roles, and have 6-10 years experience in the following: digital/social media marketing, photography/videography/editing, internal sales/b2b sales, training staff (e.g. job tasks, new hire onboarding, loan processing), crm, customer service, producer/event coordinating, assistant/admin work, operations management (my current role). If it involves day-to-day business back-end operations or implementing business owner's vision/goals, I've probably done it, or can catch on fast.

I have a lot of prior experience in real estate marketing/lead gen/internal sales agent tasks, but would prefer not doing that again for various reasons. But would be open to it for the right pay & people, given the situation. Besides that I have typically worked with arts-based industries and small businesses, but open to the trades or other ideas, just need some guidance. Creative Consultant has been an idea in the past. Okay I'll stop stress rambling now.

Any career ideas or opportunities? Companies hiring that fit those skill sets? Other constructive thoughts?

Looking for emergency work in Spokane (Can start immediately!)

Hi everyone, my name is Zana and I'm a 22 y/o trans woman. I'm in a really difficult situation right now and I'm hoping someone here might know of a job opening or need someone to work right away.

Over the past few months I've been dealing with multiple serious health issues. I was diagnosed with stage 2 gastric adenocarcinoma and more recently ulcerative colitis. I had to miss work while getting medical treatment, and now I'm trying to get back on my feet and find employment as quickly as possible because my bills aren't going to wait.

I already have an interview with McDonald's on the 28th, but I need income sooner than that if possible.

I have previous experience as a car detailer, fast food crew member, and general laborer. I've also assisted with construction, including helping build automotive shops for my father, installing ethernet cabling, and setting up security camera systems. In addition, I'm very comfortable with computers and technology, have strong attention to detail, and learn new systems quickly. I previously held a job at the hospital in Ennis, Montana while I was in highschool doing IT work and worked doing remote IT help desk while I lived in Arizona.

I'm a quick learner, dependable when given the opportunity, and I'm willing to work hard. I'm open to temporary work, part time, full time, day labor, office work, warehouse work, retail, or pretty much anything that can help me get through this.

Unfortunately, DoorDash isn't an option. My account was somehow compromised, and despite multiple attempts to work with support, I haven't been able to recover it or create a new account.

If anyone knows of a place that's hiring immediately or needs someone to help out, I'd really appreciate any leads. Even advice on employers that tend to hire quickly around Spokane would mean a lot.

Thank you for taking the time to read this 🖤

Media/Communications jobs?

I know the job market right now now is in shambles and everyone is holding on to their jobs or constantly looking for one.

I figured I’d ask here just in case if anyone has any leads for a media or communication job that’s not a manager/director position.

Been working at one of the local news stations for almost a year now out of college and come to find out my raise once I hit a year is a whole 20 cents and we get no cost of living raise.

Half my monthly pay goes to my rent and I make like $200 too much to qualify for snap and because I occasionally get overtime that pay keeps me out of qualifying for low income housing.

So I am quite literally living paycheck to paycheck unable to save any money and at this point I’m waiting for my lease to end next year and just leaving and moving in with my parents.

I have been job searching for months trying to find something that pays better, but most roles are director roles that I don’t have experience for or it pays less that what I make now and they want one person to do the job of 5 people (marketing, video, photo, social media, graphics)

I’ve looked at the hospitals, school district, city jobs, indeed, LinkedIn, Facebook, but just nothing.

I know people will suggest getting roommates to cut my housing costs down, and I know in this economy we can’t all get what we want, but as someone who is nearing 30, I just can’t fathom having roommates after not needing any my whole life.

Who’s hiring? Restaurants, hospitality, etc.

Currently working as a chef and looking for my next opportunity. I have experience in both front-of-house, back-of-house, and hospitality management roles.

I’m also completely open to stepping into a different industry if the right opportunity comes along, I’m ready for a change…

If you know of anyone hiring or have any leads, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

Possibly looking for a new job

I've been with Amazon for 2 and a half years and I honestly don't know where to go next. I only have fast food and warehouse experience. I'd love to become a manager at a different warehouse but they usually require tenure and or a college degree (which i do not have). I currently make 24.25 that's the only reason I'm still with Amazon, but I'm getting tired of the nonsense and high-school shenanigans and terrible management.

Entry level job options for someone at the end of their rope?

26 male with little job experience. Some hospitality and service roles but all were fairly short (1-3 months). I'm completely broke and don't have the money to get car insurance/fix my car so remote is my preferred option at this point, but entry level remote jobs in WA seem to be extremely rare. I'm not vehemently opposed to something in-person but I'd have to rack up credit cards for a month on Uber until I got my first paycheck to start driving myself.

Genuinely what options are there? Everything I apply to I get ghosted. I have a decent tech background to start with but like I mentioned before nothing in a professional capacity. I've had relatives my whole life telling me to get an entry level IT role like they did 30 years ago but they have no idea how much more competitive the market is these days.

Just posting in case someone has some secret opportunity up their sleeve that I'm just missing.
