I have a master project, to record sat comms.... can the ISS crew give me a shout out

I can record sat comms with my antenna 20 feet in the air. Can the ISS crew, if they are watching this sub, give me a shout out for my masters class final project?

And what frequency is the ISS voice?

ETA: I'm in New Mexico, the next pass over is in about 60 minutes or less

ETA2: The ISS is about to go right over me, I'll be listening on 437.8bMHz

GPS receiver homebuild?

I'm in a masters program for EE with a focus on space systems. My current class (Satellite Communications) has a final project due in 8 weeks. What is the cheapest, simplest system I could build that could receive signals from GPS satellites in my backyard. Once I have the signals, I'm sure I can write a program to decode them. I've been a software/data engineer for 20 years, I just know nothing right now about the hardware needed to receive GPS signals and get them into a computer for processing. If anyone can at least point me in the right direction where I can do more research, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Edit: I've thought about it more, and I want a ground receiving station that can get NOAA images. If that's too complex for my final project, I'll stick with GPS, but NOAA images would be ideal. Note I already have the knowledge to find the satellites and know when they are overhead. I just need to know if/when NOAA transmits their images, and what kind of antenna/RTL-SDR I would need.

WIP Hellfire missile

Ten pieces on a P1S. Glued it all together today. Filled with beans. Weighs about 50 lbs. Next up is prime, paint, and add detail paint

(Yes my garage is a mess, dont judge)

In need of a handyman

I know this is a long shot, but are there handy persons that can fix the handle on an oven. The right side just broke, probably dumping a screw into the glass double wall of the oven door.

ETA: the glass now looks lose, and the metal on that right side in the pic is lose and seems about to fall off.
