I remember reading this book in late elementary school (approx. 2006-2008), and I think I checked it out from my schools library.
It was a collection of short horror stories, with the last one being a “closing” by the author. I don’t remember the exact content, but I remember in the final sentence, he tells you to go back and write down the first letter of every paragraph. Once you do this, it spells out something like “I AM GOING TO K*LL YOU.” I remember being super freaked out by this and showing my dad lol, but now I can’t find the book anywhere!
