A little help, please!

A little help, please!

My pup usually waits at the door for me when I step outside for a minute, so when I came back in after trying to fix a floodlight and she wasn't right there I was a little surprised. I looked around the house and found her in the laundry room as seen here. Her "necklace" is actually the garbage bag from one of my daughters' cars that needs cleaning because a milkshake dripped in it. I tell her all the time that her nose is going to get her in trouble some day so I guess today was that day.

No damage done and the container was quickly removed - after I took the picture.

Ring Solar floodlight battery connection issues

I've had a Ring solar floodlight battery installed over my garage for 2 or 3 years. In the last 6 months it has started losing connection to the bridge every night but regaining it in the morning. I just tried reconnecting it to the bridge which failed. I then removed the floodlight from Ring then tried to add it again. I scanned the QR code on the back of the light and it moved to the connecting to bridge step but it again failed to connect (the lights blinked a couple of times while attempting to connect if that means anything). I was doing this with the floodlight removed from the mount and in my hands less than a foot from the bridge.

Any ideas for other things to try or is the light likely toast?

Does anyone have any info on the I-4 west crash this afternoon?

My wife was stuck in traffic coming home from Auburndale for over 3 hours. It looks like there was a crash west of exit 38 (SR33) that had all lanes closed. All traffic was being exited on to SR33 and she wasn't able to see what caused it.

Driver's side door unlock problem

For some background: I leased a 2023 ID.4 Pro RWD in May, 2023. The car was trouble-free and I would have bought it at lease end, but the residual was higher than the market value so I checked the local CPO market. I found a 2023 Pro S RWD for a bit less than the residual on my existing car so I bought that car this past weekend.

The problem: Most of the time I just walked up to the driver's door and touched inside the handle to unlock it. I thought this was working on my new ID.4, but since yesterday it is not unlocking when I touch inside the handle. I can press unlock on the key fob and the door unlocks. I can also unlock the passenger side door by touching inside the handle. Also, when leaving the vehicle, it does not lock when I press the indent on the outside of the driver's door handle. Pressing the indent on the passenger side door handle does lock the doors. I thought unlocking the driver's door using the handle was working when I first looked at the car and drove it home but it is possible I unlocked it with the fob.

I never had the door handle recall done on my previous car for a variety of reasons but it has been done on the new car. I don't know if that has messed up something on the driver's side handle or if the new handle is defective.

Has anyone experienced anything like this. Ultimately, I may have to take it back to the dealer I bought it from (not the one closest to me) to have it fixed. It is under the original warranty for about another year and then for another 3 years / 36,000 miles under the CPO warranty.

Breakaway - June 21 from Boston

Just received an update email yesterday from NCL with an itinerary update for the Breakaway sailing from Boston on June 21. Due to scheduled diesel generator maintenance they have updated the departure time from Royal Navy Dockyard in Bermuda on June 26. It will now depart at 2:00 PM instead of the originally scheduled 3:00 PM. This is the second day of an overnight stop so it may not be too big of a disruption but it's the second change from normal for this cruise (the port stop in Halifax is going to be a tender stop when most of the time it's a pier port). Just something to be aware of if you're on this cruise and haven't received (or seen) the update.

Car Air Conditioning repair recommendation

Does anyone know of a mechanic that works on car air conditioners that they trust? The AC in one of our cars has stopped cooling so I need to take it to someone for diagnosis and repair.

Recent experiences on the Breakaway out of Boston?

We're booked on the Breakaway in mid-June, sailing from Boston. We're arriving in Boston a few days before departure and staying in a hotel in the seaport district that appears to be in reasonable walking distance to the port. If anyone has been on the same cruise in the past few weeks, how was the port experience (crowded and confused or smooth)? Also, do you have any recommendations on what arrival time is best to have the easiest experience?
