Romper fit too revealing

Romper fit too revealing

Hi!

My (29 f) husband bought me this romper. It's backless and can be tied at the back like a halter top. The issue is that I'm 5'1" and have a small chest, so the V neck at the front fits lower than I'm comfortable with (plus there's a huge risk of accidentally flashing everyone 😅). How would you style this in a way that looks flattering both at the front and the back? I was thinking tube tops, but I don't own any. Do you have any other recommendations? Thanks!

Studs being a pain

As you can probably gather from the title, I'm having some problems putting studs into my battle vest.

The issue is I'm trying to line the seam with studs and it's difficult to get the prongs through, let alone squeeze them shut. In fact, as you can see on the second photo, I only got two out of four prongs through. Plus they're surprisingly tough to close. I had to use a ruler to push them down 🤣

I only did one and it looks like it's attached, but I'm not trusting it. I'm debating gluing them on AND closing the prongs, but I don't know if that's a good idea. A friend told me the glue might be affected if I soak the vest to wash it.

What do you recommend? Am I doing the prong thing right to begin with? Should I or should I not use glue? Is there anything better I can do?

Also, has anyone ever been blocked from entering venues with studs like these? I'm assuming they're quite safe as they're flat but thought I'd check

TIA

NSFW (gore)

This painting retells the legend of Elizabeth Bathory, who is said to have bathed in young girls’ blood to stay young.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, but parts of the process were really frustrating and made me hate acrylics a little bit, lol. Usually, I'm quite confident with acrylics, but this time round wasn't so easy. I think one issue was working from poor references, but I especially struggled with:

• Blending: When blending, either the paint lifts or I get visible brush strokes that ruin the effect. Then I end up wasting a lot of time trying to smooth things out.

• Colour theory: I tried to make the bath look white using colour theory, so without actually using white, but I’m not convinced it worked.

• Shadows: I feel the shadows in this artwork were guesswork and a hefty dose of artistic licence. I have no clue how they work and where they should go based on the light source.

Also, I often see artists block in the entire canvas with a base colour before painting. What’s the purpose of that, and how do you choose the colour? Usually, I just go ahead and paint directly on the blank page.

I’d really appreciate any tips both on how I could have done better in the mentioned areas and being more efficient. I also welcome general critique.

Thanks!
