Im trying to put some patches on thr front of my vest and am wondering what layout would make more sense, leave out msot of them and put only a couple on the top shoulders part, put them all on the bottom and save that space to just put a crap load of spikes, which I do want to put a crap load of spikes there, or split them up somehow with a couple on shoulders and a couple on the chest?
I'm very proud of myself. Im 39 and I had never stitched at all before this jacket. I'm very proud of how it's looking and wanted to share 🤘
Community, is this diy patch looking good enough to start a battle jacket?
I dont own any band patches as I dont have enough money.
I see many postings showing nice, neat, rows and columns of patches. Does everyone agree on this? I think more character comes out of skewing patches .. thoughts?
Here is my battle jacket, which I put together from 2016 to 2025.
Any suggestions for improvement are welcome 👍
Finished in 2 days but still room for more patches
Bands seen live themed. Got still some spots available for patches.
I’m talking about the ink part, I’ll fix the edges later. Should I add another coat of paint?
I am happy with how it's come along. Every band on here I have seen live, got a few more to add. I have enjoyed making it so much I am already to start the next one (stoner doom jacket including bands I haven't seen live). Heading out now to see Metallica in London.
I try to keep it to bands I’ve seen live. There’s a lot more I have to add but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet
Been at this bad boy for about 6 months, I love this hobby 🤘🔥
I love this hobby. I know it looks mid but it’s very fun and makes me very happy
Shifted some stuff around and replaced a few patches, now I'm working my way down the arms. Thinking about removing the brimstone patch on the left, I've got a cool round Mortiis one to replace it tho. That whole arm just feels a little cartoony compared to the rest of the stuff at the moment. Hoping to call it finished before this fall!
Here’s my first attempt. Any feedback would be most appreciated.
What are people’s thoughts on overlapping patches and safety pinning the back patch rather than stitching for the possibility of changing?
