Bass Jack is broken, how do I fix it quickly before my gig in a few days?

[SOLVED]

tried putting the lead in my bass guitar and all of a sudden the little ring thingy came off. I then thought “oh well my bass is shit anyway let me try my new one” and the same exact thing happened.

Mate thinks I put the lead in on a wrong angle but I swear I didn’t. How do I fix this quickly before I try and fork over $100 for a repair.
