The new drop from Bloodstone Patches was just too good not to get in on. Several of these aren’t even for WIP vests or anything, I just loved them and needed them for my collection. They’ll get used for something eventually. I don’t have a problem. You believe me… right?
Today I gave my dad a birthday gift I’ve been working on for several months: his first battle vest. Every patch on here is a band or album he loved in high school, he introduced me to, or we listened to together for years (with one silly Cthulhu patch because he’s a huge fan of Lovecraftian horror stories). I intentionally kept it fairly sparse in order to leave him lots of space to fill it in with stuff he picks for himself in the future. Can you tell he likes Black Sabbath?
Second half of a BFP shirt haul finally came in. Now I’ve just gotta figure out which one to wear for tea at my in-laws place tomorrow morning.

Back playing electric again after 15 years solely in the classical world. I live with two relentlessly energetic and surprisingly destructive toddlers, so durability was one of the main concerns when putting this together.
So my sister bought my toddlers a book recently and I’ve discovered that it’s actually all about Patrick Walker?
I’ve recently started playing with a rock group again for the first time in almost fifteen years. In that time, all of my musical practice and performance was done acoustically both as a soloist and in ensembles. I’d slowly shed off most of my unused electric gear, thinking I was done with it. Now that I’m playing electric again, I’m starting to rebuild a new pedal board, starting with the scraps I still had left over (a compressor). Today was my first new pedal day in a decade and a half and I’ve had a blast trying them out and dialing in a tone I’m happy with.
The chorus pedal does a nice job making my otherwise slightly wimpy clean tone a little more slick (and nicely suits the late 70s/early 80s prog rock style we’re playing), and the noise suppressor was a necessity because I’m currently running single coil pickups into a Marshall tube combo and the buzz and hiss was pretty brutal at full band rehearsal volumes.
Finally got my hands on a copy of the new album from HevyDevy. Courtesy of my local record shop I managed to save the outrageous shipping fees from Devin’s online storefront.
One last patch haul for my WIP war metal vest. Ordered through Temporal Dimensions during their big sale at the end of May and the package got held up at Canadian customs for two weeks lmao. At least it’s finally here.

Another mail day for my red/white/black war metal vest WIP. The logos came from Nemesis Inescapable on Etsy, the Archgoat and Revenge came from Dark Prods (and included a surprise freebie!).
Does anyone know the details behind this? I didn’t hear about whatever happened with Austin and now the band socials have been stripped bare so I can’t find any context.
