The recent UI changes are awful

For the first time ever, I've thought about moving off PocketCasts to something else... anyone else think this?

What am I doing wrong? No matter what I do, the grapple trigger does not appear.

I know I need to grapple these points because I’ve done it before, no matter where I stand, where I jump or what I do, the trigger to grapple won’t appear, preventing me from moving forward. Any ideas?
