Rescaling CX22 server (40gb ssd) to CPX32 (160gb ssd) with storage upgrade question
Hello,
I need to rescale my old server cx22 (4gb ram + 40gb ssd running Ubuntu 24.04), option is available for upgrade to cpx32 (8gb ram + 160ssd), which is good for my use case.
The question is will the rescale operation automatically resize the ssd partition of the previous server? if not how it can be resized to take full advantage to the released ssd space?
Are there any gotchas that I need to be careful about? The current server is running 8 websites with cloudpanel as management engine.
Of course I will take a snapshot and my off-site backup before performing the operation.
Any tips and advice is appreciated.
Update: The process is pretty straightforward. Made a snapshot + off-site back. Performed the rescale and everything was running back without an issue with CPX32 specs and resized disk.
