Structuring TB2 sessions

Hi all,

I recently finished a 10 week training block in May, followed by a few months of travel doing lower intensity sport/trad climbing. Over the last month or so I’ve moved back to Denver, CO and have been getting back into the gym, ramping up by mostly climbing on the TB2 and kilter. My gym sessions don’t feel totally focused as I haven’t got a clear goal in mind, beyond simply wanting to be prepared for the fall bouldering season.

That said I’d like to focus on simply leveling up my TB2 game, as it’s been incredibly fun having access to it. I’m curious if I may be trying problems that are too hard though. Most of my TB2 (twice a week) sessions have been focused on trying V7’s of which I’ve managed to do 3 over about 5 sessions, where the problems have taken up probably 50-60% of the session. I might send one or two 6’a outside of that, alongside whatever I do during my gym warmup.

On one hand, it’s fun to try hard problems, but I’m also realizing that I’m not exactly making much progress. I feel stuck on the same moves and only a few of the 7’s really feel within ‘striking distance’.

Should I switch to focusing on higher volume sessions targeted at v5-V6, where intensity varies between flashing the problem to completing it within ~10 tries?

FAR: Flailing on Becker F1 Modules

Hi all,

I have been working through the F1 modules (finished M3 today) and just looking to gauge where everyone was at when they started FAR. I graduated in May, and this is my first exam, and the first three modules I’ve felt completely lost. I remember learning about these things in school, did well in my Accounting classes, but feel like I barely remember how to do cost vs par treasury stock methods and absolutely bombed EPS review yesterday. I genuinely wonder if I retained anything from school, this feels like a higher level of application than anything I reached in my classes.

I’ve been watching the videos and taking notes but really struggle on the MCQs and the ISMs are impossible. I feel like I need to review everything 100% again but don’t want to fall behind my study plan.

Just wondering how you all felt at this point and how to not freak myself out about committing to something that feels way above my head.

Hi all,

I am leaving for a 3 week post grad trip from the US to Fontainebleau on the 11th. I’ve been tracking the weather and it’s been raining for a week straight. I’m looking for insight from locals/those familiar as to how long rain typically lasts in May, and whether I should be considering alternative destinations?

I’ll be leasing a Dacia Sendero via Eurodrive, so I have the ability to go elsewhere. I’ve got 3 days until my Air BnB hits my card.

I want to respect local rules around avoiding climbing post rain, but I’m also dropping a considerable portion of my savings on this trip. Would love to hear what you’d do in my position and where you might go?
