me encantaría saber si:

thank youuu :)

How do you guys fly with a combo amp?

Hello, I play for a small band planning a national tour next year, but since I have my equipment on one of the Spanish islands, I'll need to fly my amp to the mainland. There's no way to drive it.

I have a Koch Studiotono 20 Combo, so it's not big in size and it doesn't weight a lot, but I'm worried about valve and cone damage from the flight (pressure changes, rough handling, you name it). Has anyone flown with a combo before? Any flight cases or cages you'd recommend for something this size? Any general tips would be massively appreciated.

Thanks!

Or any potential solution, like a pre-amp or amp simulator.

Thanks!

EDIT - we don't have a budget to rent an amp in every place and we're playing at places with no backline.

Create espresso machine, internal problems?

My CREATE THERA RETRO espresso machine has been acting strange for the last few weeks and I’m trying to figure out what’s wrong.

It started with very slow extractions, the coffee would take around 10 seconds to start coming out and it would only drip instead of flowing normally. The coffee puck would also end up completely wet with water sitting on top.

I disassembled what I could following the steps on this video, cleaned everything and ran a couple vinegar cleaning cycles through it. After that the machine worked fine for about one day, then the exact same problems came back.

Now it’s even worse. Even with no coffee, no basket, no portafilter, and even with the shower screen removed, plain water still comes out irregularly and sprays in different directions instead of flowing normally. After stopping the extraction, the machine sounds normal for a few seconds, then I hear boiling/gurgling inside, and after about 5 seconds it starts spitting hot water and steam for another 5-10 seconds.

I'm assuming there’s probably some internal blockage or failing component?

It might be related or not, but another person in the house was using supermarket pre-ground coffee for a while before this started happening. I normally use proper espresso coffee from specialty shops.

Has anyone had something similar happen on one of these machines or managed to repair it?
