Engineering Students: Has anyone used their Complementary Studies block for short-term study abroad

Hey guys, Civil Eng student here looking at doing the 3 week Korea University Winter Campus program this summer.

My study plan says my 48cp Complementary Studies block must be an "Engineering Minor". Does QUT let you bypass this and get Unspecified Exchange Credit instead if you study abroad for a short term program? Or am I locked into an engineering minor?

Anyone with any experience or info about this?

Thanks so much!

Do I need to mention my Australian Partner in my onshore student visa application even if we have not lived together?

Hey, as above, I am currently applying for a new student visa onshore to complete some remaining courses. I have a bf that while we do not live together have a Queensland civil partnership registration.
The DHA lodgement form says:

  • De facto You currently live together with your partner (opposite or same-sex), without being legally married, in a genuine domestic relationship to the exclusion of all others.

Do i still pick this?

I also know that having a partner, even if they are Australian and I do not plan on adding them as a dependant obviously, complicates my student visa application. Should I still mention him as a de facto partner and how much does mentioning him affect my Student visa application to finish the final few courses of my degree, even if he is Aussie.

Thanks.

Has anyone been allowed to overload in summer semester?

Hey has anyone here ever been allowed to overload (4 courses) in summer semester before?
I know you need special permission, just wondering how difficult it was to get this special permission. Thanks!

[Urgent Help Needed]

Made a stupid mistake in my UQ COE extension request, it got denied. They took 2 months telling me i'll get the COE and then, got the denial today. I have 6 weeks left in my visa. I need help, any advice would help.
I still have 9 courses left to graduate with my bachelor of engineering(honours). I know i need to appeal but i know my time will be over before i get the appeal decision, are there any other options? Change program maybe to the integrated Bachelor/Master of Engg? Would that work? Change unis?
Thanks. Please please don't be mean already going through a lot right now.

Edit:
I want to clarify that I have booked with UQ Union but the closes booking is in 2 weeks. I have about 6 weeks left so was hoping for advice before the 2 weeks. I have also reached out to academic advisor but they are also flat out right now.
