Should I be credited in writing credits if I re-wrote and re-recorded instruments for a song I didn't write originally ?

Self-explanatory. I'm mixing an instrumental for a singer I'm working with. She sent me the stems of all tracks for the instrumental, which was written by another guy. However some of the instruments were so badly recorded that I had to re-record guitar parts, synth parts, bass part....
I also added new parts, mainly guitars, that enhance the song. I presented it to the singer, and she agreed that it sounds better with what I added. However, I'm her mixing guy. I'm not sure if I should ask to credit me for songwriting on that specific song too. Since I decided on my own will to re-record and add new parts, I don't know where this falls morally. What would you do ?

[OOT] I think OOT is one of those mythical games that doesn't need a remake.

A lot of people are probably going to disagree with me, but I really don't want an OOT remake from Nintendo. Just because the original is already there, legendary, voted best video game of all time multiple times. The original was one of the first big 3d games with so many groundbreaking innovations for the time : the z targeting, the semi-open world; you could speak, jump, open, climb...all with a single button... some of those features already existed before, but OOT magnified it in one single game. And then there's the music. What can I say... You just had to be there in 1998 to understand how massive this game was, how revolutionary it was for the time. A remake of it would tarnish Nintento reputation, IMO. The whole magic of the original is that it's imperfect, it's dated, it could be improved by today's standard and yet, it's still extremely playable. The main risk of remaking Ocarina of Time is that it could eventually replace the original in the public consciousness. Future players might think of the remake as the definitive version and never discover what made the 1998 game so revolutionary. Anybody agrees with me ?

TASCAM US-600 on Windows 11 - Code 52 driver signature issue

I'm using a TASCAM US-00 USB audio interface on Windows 11. I've been using it for 3 years on my Lenovo ldeapad Slim5i without issues.

The interface and cables work perfectly in Ableton Live when the driver loads. I can record guitar, vocals etc... However, device manager in Windows shows Code 52 since a few days :
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature of the drivers required for the device".

I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the latest offical driver from TASCAM (Which dates back from 2016). I also booted Windows using advanced startup and selected option 7 : disbale signature enforcement. The interface worked perfectly for a day or two, then today it's back to Code 52 and it's unusable again.

Any workaround, updated driver or comunity-made solution would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you !
