Selling baby mozambique fire millipedes! USA only
Progress so far!!!
Hello all! I have over 100 of these guys and I need some advice on selling/rehoming most of them. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to sell, and is anyone interested in buying some for super cheap?
I have so many I could do 10 bucks per millipede for anyone on this sub.
My SO is making a board game about millipedes. It's a sci-fi setting in which millipedes are used as giant moving neighborhoods of people where mites live inside of them (instead of people) in this alternate world where they've evolved a little different. So, for example each segment would be a different room or building inside the millipede and the millipede travels like a vehicle. EARLY CONCEPT PHOTO ATTACHED OF HIS DRAWING he made before he changed the characters inside to mites.
Includes:
----Different sci-fi versions of real life millipede species(you can choose your character species)
----Mites that are both parasitic and symbiotic, and other general insects.
----The molting process represented through gameplay
----Grided free-roaming format of the board with different districts that represent different environments that effect the gameplay and cards
----"Detritum" will be the name of materials/currency used (Detri because they are detrivores yk)
---- Little cheeky nods to scientific information about millipedes, biology, and behaviors. (For example, a bomb that is dropped will be hydrogen cyanide like the millipedes that emit that when threatened)
---- Cute little puns!
I painted this for my mom who loves gnomes. I have been trying to find my style. Any opinions and suggestions for abstract art like this?
So, I have a baby Venezuelan redfoot, and a baby western hermann. I wanted to make sure their diets are okay and varied enough. Can somebody give me an example weekly diet for each that would be great for them? I have calcium, vitamins, zoomed forest tortoise pellets, as well as mazuri juvenile tortoise pellets.
Is this okay to feed to my two month old Venezuelan redfoot? On occasion for the nutrients. I have been seeing mixed answers online
Seller said they were a western Hermann, but we just wanted to double check as the care between the two might vary and the little baby deserves the very best. Images attached!
This is my first time owning a tortoise. He's a Venezuelan redfoot. I don't know what the healthy bottom of their shell looks like.
I just recently posted for help on this subreddit for how to manage my most recent flare-up that won't back down and I keep wondering these questions:
-Can anyone get perioral dermatitis or is it a specific gene or something that increases your chances?
-How common is it?
-Is this life-long?
-Is it more common during certain seasons, and/or certain climates around the world?
-Does humidity negatively effect it?
Hey everyone. I have been reading posts on here for information on my rash which I think might be the same as everyone else's on here. I have tried Vaseline and recently started trying 40% zinc baby butt rash ointment which made it feel slightly better in the morning. The Vaseline makes it not burn but doesn't have any improvement in the mornings. I've had it for about a month now and it keeps getting progressively worse- spreading around my whole lips and up to my nose now. In the past it usually goes away quickly but this time it hasn't. I have tried fragrance free face washes, and currently trying fluoride free toothpaste. I do have to use a steroid inhaler every morning which I read could cause things but in the past it has always started with stress. Im just not sure what else to use. This zinc stuff makes my rash really dry and flaky. I dont know of thats good or not.
Is this a baby ivory? Or a baby mozambique fire?
What does everyone think? It took me many months to save for it, and to finish putting it together. I have more photos if anyone is interested but I am very proud of it. Any suggestions for improvements? Or anything I should correct?
THIS IS SO FASCINATING AND SO AMAZING TO ME
I just took an awesome video of my ivory millie and I was so excited and fascinated by it that I had to share it.
He was along the glass and doesn't seem to mind the light from the little microscope thing. What do you guys think? I can post more if this interests people.
