MY FIRST WEEVIL TIME EVER

He’s so much tinier than I thought he’d be 🥺 I’m so happy I could explode!!!!! I never thought I would ever see one in my area. (Central PA) The app I used ID’ed it as an imported long-horned weevil, does that sound correct to the weevil experts out there?

IS IT TIME?????

He was playing dead so I had to pick him like that for a close inspection. Then I placed him back :)

I raised an Atlas Moth (UK)

Feeling like a very proud moth mama. From egg (so tiny!) to big, beautiful moth.

I’ve loved raising him/her, and will miss him/her (I think her?). It sounds daft, but the whole process has really helped my general mood day to day.

I Got My Brother His First Millipede

She/he’s a giant chocolate desert millipede. My brother is turning 17 and we’ve done a ton of research so we went and got the pede today and put her in her new home. I tried to make the enclosure as nice as possible, I think she likes it!

Almost stepped on the little guy cause he was in the grass. Relocated him to my wildflower garden 🥹

A male Luna moth at the end of its life cycle

Little dude was gonna blow into the road so I scooped him up and carried him back to my yard where I let him rest in my garden. Never seen one before irl so it was really special, sweet little guy

Baby Belastomatid!

Saw this little green buge swimming around in a lake I frequent. Scooped it up in a bug cup and started taking photos. it was a belastomatid, but tiny! its rostrum was too soft to pierce my skin thankfully, though I wonder how much it would've hurt if it had?

Need help identifying

Found in Northernwestern Oregon, little guy was found outside upside down in a watering can, and we gave the fella some water and have them resting on a damp paper towel.
