Ghost mantis help

I’m a first time mantis owner, I’ve had my ghost mantis (Phyllocrania paradoxa) for about 3 weeks now. I’m not too sure what instar stage it would be in, but recently i noticed underneath the arms it’s starting to look red/irritated. is this normal or something i should be worried about, any help would be greatly appreciated !

11 days between molts seem ridiculously

Hi guys. my little bingus (asian shield mantis - Rhombodera latipronotum) is not so little anymore. bingus has molted to l4 in may 30. l5 in june 20. and now l6 july 1. i was wondering if anybody could provide me some insight as the ‘cooldown’ between molts seem ridiculously low, even under ‘optimal’ conditions. i’m from the uk and obviously it’s been warmer these past few weeks for a bit of context.

How can I trigger a molt faster?

my mantis was injured earlier this month and he has healed up but he is not completely fine yet, which he needs a molt to be healthy again. I patched up his neck injury with corn starch. His last molt was 5/18/26 and he is not in premolt yet, is there any way I can trigger a molt faster?

Also is slowly but gradually softening the corn starch while my mantis is in premolt necessary?
Due to the cornstarch scab being on his neck, his head is immobilized in one place and I'm scared the hardened scab will make him unable to molt or lead to a fatal mismolt.

FYI he has been improving neurologically and physically ever since the injury occurred

oh my god i think he's trying to molt

my mantis named Pea was injured on the neck earlier this month and I put cornstarch to stop hemolymph leakage and I'm worried the artificial scab will interfere with molting.

Based on the video is my mantis trying to molt? He has never hung down like this and he ate yesterday midnight.

Sheild Mantis new enclosure!

Hey! Just got a new 45x45x60 Swell Reptiles paladarium that I have just foamed and siliconed a background for! I understand standard paladariums are strongly discouraged due to moulting issues and the possibility of the mantis falling into the water, however I was instead planning on a boggy area at the bottom, where plants completely shield from the water so that I can still incorporate the trickle of water down the backdrop for moss growth etc. I would have some form of semi aquatic grass down the bottom meaning he could walk, stand or lay on it without getting wet. Similar to a rice paddy per se? What do you guys think? I've only just finished the background so it is not too late to decide against and keep everything dry if that would be better for him but was hoping I could make it work! Any advice appreciated! Thanks!
