During late summer the siding of our house has so many black vine weevils. My 4yr old son loves bugs, but especially weevils. He picks them up says "aw he cuteeeeee" and has me take a photo then puts them down. When he was younger he tried to kiss them, and I had to tell him not to kiss the weevils.

Should you find yourself wanting to worship a certain weevil friend appropriately, I just discovered almonds curry favor where other offerings have failed.
Little buddy beelined right for it and has been contentedly nibbling away. Or maybe just hugging it. (It's unsalted, by the way.)

After years as a member of this subreddit, it finally happened!
I took the trash out and when I lifted the lid, I was surprised by my first weevil! I literally ran inside and told my wife that, "It finally happened!" She looked worried and I held out my phone, this picture displayed while saying, "Boots and snoot!"
