Day 5 Update: Our first Sunday was absolutely wild! (Thank you, Reddit foodies! ❤️)

Hey everyone,

It is Day 5 since we opened, and our very first Sunday is officially in the books. To be honest, we just sat down to catch our breath and finally get a bite to eat.

First off, a massive, heartfelt thank you to the Reddit community. We saw your notes on the Zomato and Swiggy orders saying "I'm from Reddit!" and it honestly put the biggest smiles on our faces. As promised, we made sure to slip an extra packet of starters into every single order that mentioned the community. We really hope we kept our promise well!

If you ordered from us today, please let us know how the food was! Drop a comment, DM us, or give us your honest feedback, we want to know how you enjoyed your meal today so we can keep improving.

Funny story from today is we completely underestimated Sunday hunger. Our first batch of Biryani was wiped out by 12:30 PM! We did not expect orders to fly out that fast, so we had to scramble and pull off a second massive batch on the fly to keep up.

Right now, things have finally slowed down, and we are just relaxing. Look what my chef just whipped up for my post-rush meal: Chicken Gravy. 🤤

How many of you want a bite of this? Let’s share!

If you want to check us out, we are listed on Swiggy and Zomato as New Cherry Family Restaurant, Immidahalli Circle, Whitefield.

Thank you all again for the incredible love and support. You made our first Sunday unforgettable! ❤️

DAY 4 UPDATE: Whitefield, you absolute beauties! 😭❤️

Today was absolute madness. I wanted to post an update hours ago, but Day 4 kicked our backsides in the best way possible.

Here is how the chaos went down:

# 10:30 AM: We started prepping, marinating, and chopping like our lives depended on it.

#The First Ring: Swiggy goes ding! The very first order of the day drops: 3 Chicken Biryanis, 3 Dragon Chickens, and 1 Mix Meat Fried Rice. (Aaj to amawos hai, non veg kam pakana hai - 2 min earlier our chef was talking this 🤣)

#The Time Jump: We started cooking that first order... and boom! We looked up, and it was suddenly 3:00 PM. We completely lost track of time.

The Final Scoreboard for Day 4:

#Swiggy: 45 orders!

#Zomato: 39 orders!

#Takeaways: 19 orders!

#Catering order: 1 (for 30 pax confirmed at 12pm 😅)

#Total: 103 families fed and 1 party 🥳!

We are absolutely exhausted, our feet are killer, but our hearts are so full. Tired? Yes. Happy? Ecstatic! 😊

Whitefield is pouring so much love into Cherry's Family Restaurant. We are just a small kitchen trying to serve freshly prepared, honest meals, and this community has wrapped its arms around us. Thank you to every single person who ordered, called, messaged, or left a review today. You are making our dream real.

Now, drop your comments below! I will reply to every single one of them manually (and if my grammar is bad, blame the kitchen fatigue, not ChatGPT! 😜).

LOVE YOU, REDDIT! ❤️

Day 4 of our kitchen in Whitefield - just set up physical tables!

Hey foodies! Just wanted to share a quick milestone from our 4th day of business here in Whitefield. We initially started out strictly as a cloud kitchen, but we literally just finished arranging a few tables today!

So instead of just ordering online, people can now actually drop by for a casual brunch or just pick up takeaway orders directly from us.

Our kitchen is currently in absolute overdrive today. For some reason, our Biryani and Chinese dishes are getting slammed with bulk orders, we have just packed food one of our 1st day customer for 19 pax small house party around the Whitefield area right now. (Photo- ready to deliver 😋)It is chaotic but honestly so exciting to see the food move out.

Aside from standard walk-ins, we are also opening up to handle corporate orders, daily employee meals, and catering for small gatherings.

Since we are brand new, we want to make sure we are serving exactly what the community wants. If you live or work around Whitefield, what do you usually look for in a daily meal or a weekend party menu? Would love to get your honest feedback on what dishes we should focus on next!

People living near Immidahalli/Whitefield: What is your neighborhood missing in terms of food?

Hey everyone,

I’m a female entrepreneur and I’ve just started a small online kitchen and dine-in spot right by the Immidahalli auto station. It’s been a dream of mine to run my own place, and I’ve officially opened my doors today.

I am currently serving South Indian, North Indian, and Chinese, along with a Curry Point for quick takeaways. I’m also planning to start a full morning breakfast tiffin service and dinner shortly.

Since I am right on the way to Whitefield, I know the crowd is a mix of busy professionals, students, and locals. I want to make sure I’m actually serving what people want instead of just guessing.

If you live in the Immidahalli/Whitefield area or order on Swiggy/Zomato here:

\- What is one dish you’re always searching for but is never quite "right" from local places?

\- For those of you commuting past the auto station in the morning, would pre-packed "breakfast boxes" be something you'd actually stop for?

\- What’s the biggest "dealbreaker" for you when trying a new local restaurant? (Portion size, packaging, spice levels, etc.?)

I’m really trying to make this work, so I’d appreciate any honest feedback or suggestions on what you’d love to see on a menu like this.

Day 3 Update: Whitefield, you blew us away today! (We had to scramble for chairs 😂)

Hey r/Whitefield family!

First of all, thank you for the incredible response to yesterday's post. The love, advice, and orders you sent our way for Day 2 kept our spirits sky-high.

But today? Day 3 was absolutely surreal.

We opened at 11:00 AM expecting a normal, steady flow of delivery orders. Instead, you guys flooded us from morning until tonight. It didn't stop there. By evening, people started showing up in person!

We were completely unprepared for dine-in sales. We hurriedly dragged out one single table and four chairs just to accommodate the sudden crowd. We had:

* No printed menus on the table ❌

* No table QR codes set up ❌

* Just pure chaos, good food, and amazing vibes ✨

To everyone who stood by us, gave us a chance, and showed so much patience while we figured things out on the fly—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are making this dream feel real.

To anyone else out there starting a cloud kitchen, a cafe, or any food business: keep pushing! May you all be blessed with this kind of overwhelming community support.

Quick question for our Reddit critics tonight: Since we are rapidly setting up our physical dine-in space now, what is your biggest pet peeve when eating at a small, local kitchen? Is it lack of menu category, slow service, or something else? Let us know so we can fix it before you visit! 👇

2nd day update! Packing up 13 Biryanis for our very first repeat customer! 🍲

You all know how we started yesterday 😁 We are a new kitchen trying to bring authentic, high-quality flavors to the neighborhood. Day 2 is already keeping us on our toes with the surprise repeated 13-Biryani order!

Since we are fine-tuning our menu, we want to know from the ultimate critics: What makes or breaks a Biryani delivery for you? Is it the rice-to-meat ratio, the spice blend, or the quality of the raita? Let us know below!

First order DISPATCHED! 🚀 Huge shoutout to Mr. Pradeep for being our #1.

Hey everyone!

I’m feeling a mix of nerves and pure adrenaline right now. Today is officially Day 1 of our kitchen operations, and we just sent out our very first Zomato order!

A massive thank you to Mr. Pradeep, our first-ever customer. If you’re reading this, Pradeep, we’ve put a lot of heart into your meal. We hope it’s the best thing you eat all day.

Starting a food business in this city and specially in Whitefield has been a dream of ours, and seeing that first notification pop up on the tablet felt surreal. We are officially live and ready to serve the community!

We’d love to hear from you. For those who have started their own side hustles or businesses:

What was your "Day 1" like?

What’s the one thing you think makes a local food spot "legendary" instead of just "good"?

We’re keeping the stove hot and the passion higher. Wish us luck! 🥘✨

The Craft of the Himalayas Meets the Wok

There is a specific kind of discipline that comes with nine years in a professional kitchen. Our head chef, hailing from the misty hills of Darjeeling, West Bengal, brings that exact blend of patience and precision to every dish he fires.

In Darjeeling, food is about more than just fuel; it’s about heat, soul, and technique. He has spent nearly a decade refining his mastery of Chinese cuisine, ensuring that every toss of the wok and every balance of spice is backed by years of high-pressure experience.

We believe that great food shouldn't be complicated, but it should be executed with expertise. If you appreciate the art of a well-seasoned wok and the hands of a seasoned pro, we’d love for you to experience the menu he’s built.

Stop by and give our concept a try

- we’ll let the flavors do the rest of the talking.
