I saw a few restaurants promoting themselves on this sub.
So want to make a request to restaurant owners or wannabe foodpreneurs - please open a dosa/idli/south indian breakfast & snacks point on the ECC Road.
South Indians along the ECC road really don't have good South Indian options around.
Places are either 2km away and/or bland/unhygienic food.
- Sri Udupi Park in Prashanth Layout - lacks taste and cleanliness
- Aha Tiffins in Prashanth Layout - bland & no sitting
- A2B on HopeFarm - decent but overpriced & more than 2km from ECC Road
- Sri Vigneshwara Tiffins - stale old food, lacks taste
There is a new Paratha place called Seth Ji Kitchen in the area - small shack, good taste, serves hot, pretty clean mostly. A similar spot for south Indian food around this place would be great addition.
I recently left my 10LPA job and opened a Hyderabadi fusion restaurant named Kaaram. When we started we could only make 5 plate sales
Now we are able to make 20. People who ate our food kept repeating.
We are on zomato in the name of Kaaram, Please show some love

Hi lovely people of Bangalore! 🌻
I’m looking for someone to replace me in our beautiful pool-facing 3BHK in Whitefield, near Hopefarm Junction. (Female only)
It’s in a lovely society with great amenities, including a swimming pool, gym, badminton/cricket/basketball courts, pool table, a human-size chess board, a children’s sand park, and wall climbing. Perfect for when friends or family visit!
The location is super convenient and quite close to Kadugodi Metro Station. The neighbourhood is peaceful, safe, and away from traffic noise. The house is also extremely well-ventilated and gets great natural light. Pool-facing balcony!
The owner is very approachable, and the rent will remain the same for the next renewal cycle, as promised by the owner.
The house is fully furnished with a couch, dining table with four chairs, fridge, washing machine, and geyser. You’ll only need to bring furniture for your own room. The kitchen utensils are commonly used, though my flatmates would prefer that you bring your own basic utensils too. Everyone is friendly and shares things comfortably. The balcony opens straight to the pool!
Monthly expenses:
Rent:₹16,082
Maintenance:₹1,457
Maid:₹1,250
Electricity & water:Split equally between three people
Water charges:Based on usage through a water meter and split equally
One-time payments:
Setup charge:₹13,000
Security deposit:₹50,000
Move in by mid-June.
The society management is helpful, and the maintenance covers plumbing and electrical work in the house to some extent.
It’s honestly a warm, peaceful, and very convenient place to live in. Looking for someone who would enjoy the space and fit in well with the flatmates.
Hey everyone!
I'll be moving to Whitefield near Prestige Shantiniketan soon for work and honestly have no idea what to expect. Born and raised in Trivandrum, Kerala. This will literally be my first time living outside my hometown, so I'm pretty clueless about how things work there.
A few things I'd love clarity on:
PG situation — How's availability near Prestige Shantiniketan? Anything walkable? What's a realistic budget for single occupancy with meals included? I've been browsing Zolo and similar sites but the photos look suspiciously good 😅 , how accurate are they really?
Also seen a lot of people suggest rooms on the backside of ITPL, but then others say avoid it and go to Parashath Layout instead what's the deal there? Why the split opinion?
Food — A lot of PGs offer meals. Is the food actually decent or should I just skip that and eat from small local shops/mess nearby?
Language — Coming from Kerala, I can manage English but zero Kannada. How much of a barrier is that in daily life autos, local shops ? does it matter, or will I run into friction?
Safety — I'll likely be working late hours fairly regularly. How safe is the area at night say 11pm to 1am? Are autos/cabs available that late or does it get tricky?
Weekends — What do people actually do around Whitefield on weekends? Asking because back home, I've got beaches and hilltops literally within 10–15km, yeah ik spoiled for outdoor options. 😭 is there anything around that gives a similar kind of escape on weekends?
General life — How's the vibe for someone moving in as a complete outsider? Easy to settle in?
Anything else — hidden costs, areas to avoid, first-timer tips anything you wish someone had told you early on.
Would really appreciate honest takes.
Thanks in advance!

Okay so good news first. There is parking. After the Indiranagar situation this felt like a genuine personal victory. It is a little hard to find their dedicated lot so we are going to put up posters on the day to guide people in. Small problem, solvable.
The galli that Café Fiori sits in is so, so cute. Very quaint. The view from inside the cafe is genuinely lovely - picture attached.
On pricing, the owner is a chef who brought in Coffee Mechanics as a shop-in-shop for the beverages. Their bev menu ranges from ₹200 to higher, with most things sitting around ₹250. Which made the redeemable voucher model a very easy yes, hoping people wouldn’t have too pay too much from their pocket. We’ve pre paid for shared snacks for the table. Everything else - art materials per person, print costs, goodie bags. The per person subtotal on materials alone comes to Rs. 182. On top of that, one time costs for design, our poster, backdrop, merch, bags, that's Rs. 13,125 spread across all sessions. Plus travel and buffer.
Now these are material and tangible costs - I’m not including costs of all the hard work we’ve put in and the 4 team members (including 2 psychologists leading the session taking a pay cut because don’t all big dreams start like this? (No one is allowed to say otherwise kay thanks)) Our break even came around 1011 for this.
This felt too high for something we want people to actually show up to, especially when mental fitness as a concept is still something in the awareness stage for many. So we took a hit. Because we'd rather get this first round right than optimise for margins we haven't earned yet. And also because our business coordinator laughed in confusion when we told her the price and said "In this economy?"
Our sessions are intentionally small. Intimate conversations need that. So the usual logic of making money through volume doesn't apply to us right now. Final ticket price landed at Rs. 899, and Rs. 799 for students.
Also, the matcha and pilates studio right nearby was kind enough to put our poster up. Sweet stuff.
Need suggestions for washing machine exchange/sale in Hoodi and nearby area.
I have an old front-load washing machine where the buttons are not working properly. Planning to exchange/sell it and buy a new smaller-sized washing machine.
Any good local dealers, exchange offers, or trusted shops you would recommend?
Looking for places that give decent exchange value and home pickup if possible
I'm planning to travel to either Ooty or Coorg this weekend. We're 3 people and wanted to get suggestions on which would be the most reliable self-drive car rental option. A hatchback would also work for us.
Also, if you can suggest good and reasonably priced stays in these locations it'll be a big help!
Hello everyone,
I am looking to transfer my Rock Gym membership, which is valid for 1 year starting from June. Gym is right next to KPN, borewell road.

Hi everyone,
I'm a genderfluid person living in Whitefield looking to join a gym starting this month. I'm specifically searching for a place with a non-judgmental and welcoming environment.
I'm looking for a gym where:
If anyone has good experiences or can recommend a gym/trainer who is genuinely queer-friendly and professional, please drop a suggestion. DMs are open.
Thank you! ✨

Swiggy has been consistently delivering late food.
The notifications and status has been wrong.
This has been my experience for 9 out of my 10 orders and the food experience the restaurant wants to provide is not the same we get.
They are clubbing many orders and the food gets delivered late. The pizzas have been pretty cold and they show wrong status that the restaurant is preparing the order.
Hey everyone,
It is Day 5 since we opened, and our very first Sunday is officially in the books. To be honest, we just sat down to catch our breath and finally get a bite to eat.
First off, a massive, heartfelt thank you to the Reddit community. We saw your notes on the Zomato and Swiggy orders saying "I'm from Reddit!" and it honestly put the biggest smiles on our faces. As promised, we made sure to slip an extra packet of starters into every single order that mentioned the community. We really hope we kept our promise well!
If you ordered from us today, please let us know how the food was! Drop a comment, DM us, or give us your honest feedback, we want to know how you enjoyed your meal today so we can keep improving.
Funny story from today is we completely underestimated Sunday hunger. Our first batch of Biryani was wiped out by 12:30 PM! We did not expect orders to fly out that fast, so we had to scramble and pull off a second massive batch on the fly to keep up.
Right now, things have finally slowed down, and we are just relaxing. Look what my chef just whipped up for my post-rush meal: Chicken Gravy. 🤤
How many of you want a bite of this? Let’s share!
If you want to check us out, we are listed on Swiggy and Zomato as New Cherry Family Restaurant, Immidahalli Circle, Whitefield.
Thank you all again for the incredible love and support. You made our first Sunday unforgettable! ❤️
WHitefield is too far away for me, mostly do-able very late at night when everyone sort of goes to sleep. Which is why when we were selecting hubs of bangalore for our IRL mental fitness sessions, I had to be convinced of this.
We're about ten days out from our first IRL mental fitness sessions across Bangalore, Indiranagar, Jayanagar, Whitefield, HSR. Actual R&D for a year, so building this cause is really close to our heart. So the cafe had to feel right. That's the bar we set for ourselves and now we have to live with it.
Paper and Pie was the first stop. Genuinely buzzing, I'll be honest it was a very polished kind of vibe - very subtle rich people kind? (I really don't know how else to explain this.) But also so loud you guys. Conference room seats ten at max. We needed more than ten. Moving on.
Beanlore, we showed up too early and it was closed. Called later, seating was on the smaller side too. The HSR branch has always been such a good vibe so this one was thoda saddening.
A few others got ruled out based on how the conversation went when we explained what we were trying to do. It's a quick judgment call and we know that's not totally fair, but you can tell pretty fast whether a space is going to genuinely get it or just tolerate it. We went with our gut since we had to make do with what we had.
One genuinely cute place, Chez. Open seating, sweet energy. Also home to approximately one thousand mosquitoes, which we understand is not their fault since it's open seating. They did give us a coil - which I really don't know if coils even work anymore. Passed on that one.
And then Cafe Fiori. The owner was warm. She mentioned she has a friend in the mental health space so she already had some context, we were starting from somewhere instead of from scratch. We're heading there again tomorrow to see the full space and sort out the menu.
Also quietly hoping parking is figured out because Indiranagar broke our spirits a little on that front.
That's all. Wanted to share our journey of doing this here, if you kind people allow for it. 😄
Feeling pretty low and struggling with insecurity lately. Looking for recommendations for a good therapist based on personal experience — in and around Whitefield, or available online.
thanks in advance
HELP!
I'm in a bit of a crisis here and desperately need some recommendations for a good dermatologist in Whitefield. I'm a 27M with really long hair, and I've been hit with a triple whammy of skin and hair issues lately that are driving me nuts.
First off, the dandruff and scalp flaking are absolutely severe. I'm talking about snowstorms on my shoulders and an itch that just won't quit. On top of that, I've noticed some pretty significant hair fall recently, which is super concerning given how long I've been growing my hair out. And to top it all off, I've started getting these weird pimples on my fingers. It's a trifecta of discomfort and frankly, it's embarrassing.
I used to consult with Dr. Aruna Prasad at Manipal Yeshwanthpur, and she was fantastic, but getting there now is a real challenge.
This feels like an emergency, so any and all suggestions for a dermatologist in the Whitefield area would be incredibly appreciated. Please, throw your recommendations my way! I'm desperate for some relief and a proper diagnosis. Thanks in advance, Reddit!
Today was absolute madness. I wanted to post an update hours ago, but Day 4 kicked our backsides in the best way possible.
Here is how the chaos went down:
# 10:30 AM: We started prepping, marinating, and chopping like our lives depended on it.
#The First Ring: Swiggy goes ding! The very first order of the day drops: 3 Chicken Biryanis, 3 Dragon Chickens, and 1 Mix Meat Fried Rice. (Aaj to amawos hai, non veg kam pakana hai - 2 min earlier our chef was talking this 🤣)
#The Time Jump: We started cooking that first order... and boom! We looked up, and it was suddenly 3:00 PM. We completely lost track of time.
The Final Scoreboard for Day 4:
#Swiggy: 45 orders!
#Zomato: 39 orders!
#Takeaways: 19 orders!
#Catering order: 1 (for 30 pax confirmed at 12pm 😅)
#Total: 103 families fed and 1 party 🥳!
We are absolutely exhausted, our feet are killer, but our hearts are so full. Tired? Yes. Happy? Ecstatic! 😊
Whitefield is pouring so much love into Cherry's Family Restaurant. We are just a small kitchen trying to serve freshly prepared, honest meals, and this community has wrapped its arms around us. Thank you to every single person who ordered, called, messaged, or left a review today. You are making our dream real.
Now, drop your comments below! I will reply to every single one of them manually (and if my grammar is bad, blame the kitchen fatigue, not ChatGPT! 😜).
LOVE YOU, REDDIT! ❤️
Does anyone have two sibling cats for adoption? I currently live in Hoodi, Whitefield and I'm looking to adopt two sibling cats, preferably under 3 months each. Breed doesn't matter but litter trained is preferred. Will probably adopt by end of May.
